Oh, if I do not have any Gamecube hardware (controller, memcard etc) plugged in, will the game still launch to a starting screen? It has been so long since I ran a retail GC game, that I forget what happens?!

It would be pointless to do if you have no GC controller, and a mem card is not required but recommended. But, you can still give it a try.

I got a question...
The latest wiigator cmIOS asks me to 'replace' an IOS..
By default, it tells me to load the IOS36 but at the end of the installing gives me an error.. tells me to choose another IOS because that IOS can't ignore the version of titles (?)
So what could I do? Since I don't remember every step I took to mod my wii, I'm scared I could mess something :\
Thanks in advice (sorry for the bad english :P )

That is 100% success, when before it was just rebooting. Your guide was easy and perfect, and did not damage any existing installs on my setup.
If I was able, I would give you +rep and a donation... I will be re-purchasing a wired controller, if not an entire GameCube - but the memory cards are as rare as hens teeth. I remember it took nearly 8 months to find one second hand last time I had the gamecube, nearly 2 years ago!
Now, slightly off topic, my Wii locks up when trying to remove channels from SD Card, and also in WiiMC skipping forward. Do you think either of these things may be caused by using 4.2E System Menu on a 4.1E Wii ?
PS. You are the coolest!
It says that GC Backup Launcher 0.2 has FreeLoader support. I assume this means I can play NTSC games with FreeLoader disc and via rungcbackup app?
It appears that MadCatz have some 64MB memory cards still left in stock!

"After completing this tutorial, if you have preloader/priiloader installed, turn
off the region free setting, if you don't you will lose the ability to play
original retail GameCube discs."
There are 3 Region free settings: Wii games, GC games, and channels. Do you need to turn off all or one of them?
Is it possible to turn off the Region free settings only when you play GC retails, and then turn Region free settings on after playing?

You can do them one by one, or all at once, makes no difference. If you're like me, turn off all 3 region free settings, because my Wii will never see an out of region game anyways.

Thank you it works fine for multi disc the only problem is when I burn a single iso to (4.7 gig ) disc it keeps freezing for 2-3 seconds at a time.
Just wondering if I have to do anything to the iso before burning or is it more likely just a bad burn.
Edit: got it sorted needed to use fstfix to make image 3gig

Why in the world is this so complicated? Everything I read before was like "1. burn game with image burn, 2. Play."
