Go here: Wii Drive Chip Database to see if you're wii has a D3-2 Drive. Also make sure you've done evrything right. USB Roms can usually be played with loaders such as CFG Loader, USB Loader GX, uLoader, etc. Be warned: these loaders ONLY load wii games.
I prefered the site: Ade's Softmodding Wii blog when I started to hack my wii.

    Hey everyone,

The GameCube Back-Up Loader works fine but I've been getting issues with the video signal.

My Wii is NTSC on 4.1u, I've tried loading a back-up of Tales of Symphonia (PAL) with the GC-loader and I press A on the option list (Auto Detect). The game starts to run perfectly and the music is there and all, but the TV just goes blank and gives me a "No Signal" message. Basically there's no picture. I've tried it with NeoGamma R9 and I get the same issue.

    Help please? Thanks.

    Restarts Wii...

When I run GCBackup 0.2 and I burned my iso onto my disk using IMGBURN, the disk will force the wii to restart. Is there something wrong with the wii or with the disk? Or is the iso broken?
It's Pokemon xd gale of darkness >

most likely its the iso, if when you load the launcher and you see the app and it says please insert disc, try getting another iso burn it as low speed as possible, be sure to use the recomended types of discs

You may want to try something other than pressing "A" to get the game to boot, maybe try forcing NTSC. When you exhaust all options, try booting with GC backup launcher Xi, you can find that version of the GCBL in Neogamma r6. When all fails you may want to get a NTSC version of the game.

I'll get me a copy of this and give it a try.

Much appreciated, I've exhausted all over options but the results are worse, all I get when I press anything other than "A" is a green screen. I'll try R6 and get back to you with the result. FYI the PAL version of the game I got is Italian (which I was surprised to discover days later, it may not even have an English track!).

Looks like the only real solution is to find an NTSC copy of the game, I've been looking for months but no luck.

I burned a copy of Tales of Symphonia (NTSC), uncompressed, to a multiISO disc. I tried both the GCBL 0.2 channel that I included in the download and NeoGamma r6, and neither of them works correctly. The GCBL 0.2 channel just shows a black and white rolling screen when I boot up the disc, and the NeoGamma r6 and it freezes. But I have an old GCBL Xi wad channel that I got from Wadder (before they changed their website) that does boot the multiISO disc. All is I can say is try getting a few different versions of the GCBL, you will find one that works. I am using cIOS38 rev19 and cMIOS v10.

I can see that I'm going to have to find some working loaders to include in the download package.

    EDIT-

OK, I did some testing, and this is what I did. First I grabbed the latest Neogamma r9 Beta6, then I went to filetrip and grabbed Gamecube backup launchers 0.2 and Xi.

    • NeoGamma r9 b6 - boots the disc (Tales of Symphonia (NTSC), uncompressed, multiISO disc), and works perfect for the first disc. The first thing I did after booting NeoGamma r9 b6 is to change the force video to "Wii". Then boot the DVD. Once in the GCOS menu I press right on the D-pad to display disc 2. I then press the Z button to set "yes" as disc 2. Then press left on the D-pad to display disc 1. Do not press the Z button, this will leave the setting to "no", and then I press the Y button to boot the disc. Works a charm. WiiPower says pressing the Z button and setting one of the ISO's to disc 2 does not work, but will be fixed in upcoming release, when Waninkoko releases cMIOS rev6.
    • GCBL 0.2 - The GCOS (boot screen for the multiISO disc) black and white scrolling, didn't even bother try'n to boot the disc.
    • GCBL Xi 0.1 - boots the multiISO disc fine, and has color. I'm not sure if you can boot disc 2 of this game from the multiISO disc.

Perhaps it would be best to burn two discs for this game, not a multiISO disc.
