After the cMIOS has been installed, do we need to use the gamecube backup loader 0.2 or can we just load it from the disc channel?

You can also load from USB Loader GX.
Press the Disc Button on the top center right.
It should say Gamecube MultiISO Disc
Click the disc and it loads correctly!

I think I may have found the reason so many members having problems with a black and white screen scrolling screen. I think the Gamecube Backup Launcher 0.2 wad may have problems. I checked it and it is a Region Free wad. I know it was a PAL wad changed to Region Free, so I changed it to USA and I still get the black and white scrolling screen. May I recommend to anybody having this problem to not use the installed channel, instead use the .dol file and load Gamecube backup launcher 0.2 from the Homebrew Channel, until I get this corrected. Or if you have Neogamma installed, use that instead.

also the person asked if, he/she can load from system menu disc channel, like a real game cube game, the only way to do that is to hack your system menu(which is highly not recomended)
usbloader gx is considered a backup launcher.

hey everyone, ive started modding my wii today to try and get burned gamecube DVDs to run. i dont want to run anything in large quantity, just the occasional game here and there. i have been able to follow a couple guides here to flash the cmios and cios. i have the homebrew channel installed as well as installing dvdx from the hackmii, but i tried to install it from the homebrew browser and i get an error. i still cannot get it to read burned DVDs. anything else i should check? please try to set me straight im a bit overwhelmed atm

I think the reason you can't read burned discs is probably because you have a D3-2 DVD Wii Drive. When did you buy your wii? Then I can tell you if you have a D3-2 Drive. You may consider running from USB.
