Please help me! I have a Jap Wii with an old D2Ckey that is semi-bricked. I downloaded and burned the "wii-system-menu-update-JAP-v288-repad" file, but my system does not pick it up. I've used different discs including Verbarim, Memorex, and Phillips with no luck.

Edit: I tried again with a Phillips DVD+R disc and burned at 1x and everything works! Woohoo!

what's ur Wii version b4 semi-bricking ?
reinstall the right SystemMenu accordingly !
for example, recover ur ex-3.4J_Wii with SystemMenu-384.

I semi-bricked my Jap Wii while trying to play Wii Sports Resort. Tried using the v288 repad and it didn't work. All i saw was a black screen with Jap writing and one particular English work; "OFF"... so im not sure what to do and not sure if it has a modchip. I don't know what firmware version im on but i can still play the Wii Sports.

Hello here's my first post. The reason is my son's wii is semi bricked, a Pal version which he tried loading Wii Sports Resort. My question is why is the repad's not working there appears to be an awful lot of people having no or little success. If I sound ungrateful for the software being available then I appologise, the people that write these are obviously very talented. But why are they not working? I have tried the usual different dvd at different speeds using different software but still no luck, The wii just does not recognise any disks is there no further information regading this problem?

Looks like i have semi bricked my wii
i have been un-modding my wii by downgrading firmware

My Screeen goes spinning - i have bootmii installed but no pre-poader or Nand Back up

You set a different region firmware in custom IOS downgrader. You must now run this program again and select the right region.

well i guess this is a good a place as any to say hello wow my first lol alright so i think i have the versio 3.3 us wii it is semi bricked i also have a modchip on it i have read through the posts here my problem is if i update to the recent firmware with the modchip i will brick my wii so what do i do?? the version 289 don't work please help thanks

forgot to mention that wii resort i think updated my wii to wrong region

Hi guyes. I have a semi-briced wii.
i have a wii with wiikey and nothing else....
no bootmii or preloader installed.
My problem started when, i let my wii udate trou nintendo via wi-fi... to firmw 4.2eur...
then i restarted it, it frezes in the health warning screen,
and the "press the a button" never apear....

i have savemii..... what should i do, im desperate...
I tried UniversalUnbrickDiscV2 and v3..... Bootmiiautoboot... Nintendo's Offical Wii BackUp Disk v1.31..........wii-system-menu-update-PAL-v290...BootMiiDiisc_v1-SOFT-... whith out any progress...
but then i start the wii nomaly and put a disc in it says that an error have occured... what should i do as we say here, in denmark... jeg er på skideren.... please help me i need my wii
