Yes. I've read it for the most part. I believe I understand. By the way, it's possible that my purple 4gb thumb isn't being recognized, because it's been regular FAT several times, and NTFS (While set to auto). Apparently running a forced setting of NTFS1 is a better idea. Well, my 32Gb thumb is working like this. So something about the new drive is problematic for the Wii. I posted a Syscheck in the appropriate thread. We'll see what they think there. Thanks for your help

Running wbfs files only. Much more intelligent a format But I prefer the NTFS file system. Naturally, since it's also a windows drive.

    ***UPDATE***
Well I'm a fool. I didn't set the drive as active in windows Disk Management. Why the Wii needs that is beyond me. It didn't occur to me since windows handles the drive fine :S

Sorry to waste your time Now I'm dealing with an ID mismatch for punchout. I'm sure I'll figure that out though.

I solved all problems. Two Wii's are fully updated, and running two brand new USB 3.0 drives CFG V70 acknowledges them just fine. The ID mismatch was due to it using the wrong IOS. Changing from Auto to IOS249 corrected the issue. I don't expect any more errors.

If I can load apps from the homebrew channel and watch movies from WiiMC from my Flash Drive does that imply that it can also play games?

None of the USB loaders recognize my flash drive, so I don't know if there's something else wrong. My flash drive is the Kingston DT 109 8GB.

I use flash drives all the time. If you're using CFG(don't know about the others), you may need to specify how the drive is formatted. Run the Configurator tool located on the SD in the USB-loader folder, and tell it whether you're running FAT or NTFS. I had to.

Of course I just did a fresh Wii mod, and I'm not sure why, but the wad did not unpack a Configurator file, or Config.txt file. I'm wondering if I acquired the file from somewhere else :S

This is a submission (yes/no and how so) thread, not a Q &A thread:
