    Exclamation

First time posting, but I had to. I think I might have found a solution to a few of the "Not working" HDD issues. I'm wanting a few other people to try this out, just to make sure it's not just a fluke on my system.

Currently running system 4.3U, followed the Softmod ANY Wii guide, but changed a few things.....

Once everything is loaded from the Softmod ANY Wii guide, I updated IOS249 with d2x beta v9. (optional, I also loaded up the new DML for GC support). Headed over to USBLoader GX, and grabbed the IOS222 version of 3.0. In the meta.xml file, I added in the argument for --ios=249 (the how-to basis is in the file). Once I had that done, I loaded everything onto my HDD and booted it up. It takes a few extra seconds, but it saves me from having to get up, unplug the HDD, wait for the "Initialize USB Device" string, reattach the HDD, and hoping.

I'm currently using a Toshiba Canvio E05A050CAU3XW "problem child" HDD. If anyone has any success with other HDDs using this method, I'll be happy to hear it, but especially from other E05A050CAU3XW owners.

Side note, I had tremendous success with d2x beta v9 running USBLoader GX 2.0, mainly no extra wait time. Be sure to try that, if you're not worried about the GUI (I LOVE the banner view, so I'm happy waiting). Also, I made sure to check out the source code, and noticed a HUGE difference in the USB device startup, and have since sent in a "Request/Enhancement" ticket to Dimok. I'm hoping to hear from them soon, and will keep everyone updated with any replies.

Edit: Just so everyone knows, obvious HDD is obvious (Toshiba Canvio E05A050CAU3XW 500GB), but details were missed.

    Size: 500GB
    Brand: Toshiba Canvio
    Model: E05A050CAU3XW
    Enclosure: N/A
    Format: FAT32 with WBFS folder
Firmware/Softmod: 4.3U using Guide Bot's Softmod ANY Wii guide, reloaded with d2x beta v9 and DML
    Loader: USBLoader GX 3.0
Working/Not Working: Working with extra wait time(?)

    Question What means IOS236 only?

There is a note for my HDD:
    Transcend SJ25M2 500 GB - Working with IOS236 only
How to run usb loader with IOS236?
In USB Loader GX I saw
in options the editbox for IOS number, currently setted to 249. Should I just change it to 236?
How to do this for CFG loader?
    Thanks for answers.

update: 4.3 Wii is softmoded(using "Softmod any wii") but when I try to download one of my wii games, I get this error "ntsf write disabled (set ntfs_write=1)" I'm using USB config V70r34. Any HELP!!! would be greatly appreciated. Wiiflow downloads game just fine. USB loader gx says there is not enough space available. Could it be the HDD im using? Its a hitachi 500GB portable hard drive model #:HXSMNA5001ABB
