    Powered or not?

So is it prefered with a powered or non powered HDD for the wii, or doesent that matter as long as it works?

I don't think it matters (I use a powered, meaning it needs an extra outlet) but I would prefer one that didn't need to be plugged into a next outlet.

As long as it works is really the only thing that matters. Personally I prefer a self powered one. I just think it is better not to tax the wii system any more than necessary.

    I was thinking tha same.
Just have the option since Iv got 2 WD disks, one powered and one not. The powered is a great deal bigger in fusical size offcource.
As for speed id recon it should be the same, and also the wii hasent got a problem "waking disks up"?
As for taxing the system, if it can charge the remotes, an HDD shouldent be that hard.
