Are You talking about the ones with the tall light on the front if them. The one I got (USB 3.0) just has a small dot for a light. And also will they go on and off with the Wii?

    Hey All,

    WiiMote Lag...
Seems like we should include information about the HDD Wiimote Lag in some games due to HDD and CIOS rev's newer than 19; (d2x does fix the problem).

To test if you HDD has the lag:

    Spoiler

My current HDD a 1.5TB WD Elements does have this lag with the newer cios.

Is anyone else having trouble with the Toshiba 1TB Black External Hard Drive PH3100U? It says it is compatible but when I plug it in using the CFG loader I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to recognize it and then it will see my games on it but freezes when loading them. And with WiiFlow it wont even see that it is plugged in. Any sugestions? I am soft modded with mauifrog's soft mod guide. And it is formatted FAT32 with Kranks guide.

Did you know that you can search within a thread? The command is up top in the grey bar labelled "Search Thread". When I did that and added some outside searches, I did see that your specific model of HDD is reported to have problems. The most commonly reported is either not being recognized at all or needing to be replugged.-I would say at this point, that model is not to be considered as working. It's hard to keep this kind of guide updated-sorry about that.

I didn't know I could search inside of a thread. Thank you for letting me know that will come in handy when I am doing future searches. Thanks for the information about it not working properly I will go out an purchase a new HDD today and see if I can get that one to work properly, so I will hopefully be up and running. Thank you for your help and I totally understand about hard to keep it updated.

Yeah the search feature works quite well...both in thread and forum. I recommend western digital passports as they haven't let me down yet! If you go that route, be sure to get a USB 2.0 only model. The USB 2.0/3.0 models have been proven to be a PITA. Some other members have good luck with the WD elements drives (plug into the wall) and also seagate free agent go's. But again i have seen close to zero success stories with the USB 3.0 feature offered on those drives. Check the list of compatible drives and go from there. Sent a pm as well. Have a good day, good luck!!

Sent from my iPod Touch using the WiiHacks App!!
