    Seagate Freeagent Desk 500GB

Works, but Usb Loader GX can not initialise the drive on its own.
To use it in GX first I have to open Neogamma and mount the drive, after that it will work in any loader until the wii is powered off again.
This has to be done each time the wii is powered off/on.

I've tried it with multiple versions of Usb Loader GX and none can initialise it, including the latest release (r874 at the time of testing)

Verbatim model usb1tb, 1tb external hard drive. Works without a hitch with gx and configurable usb loader. Over 150 working games, with room left for movies. I have not tried any running any homebrew apps via usb. Also works well with Triiforce autoload usb, tested mostly wiiware. I have tried a few vc games that failed but i think it is a missing ios. I usually just leave the drive on all the time, does not spin down.
I have a #usb1tb, I searched a few online listing for the drive and didn't see any alternate models listed from the same manufacturer. I assumed they had only produced one model of the 1tb external drives, not completely sure of this. I purchased my drive from office depot, I think.

Model: Western Digital My Passport (EDIT) WDBAAA3200ABK
    Size: 320Gb
    Format: 200GB WBFS / 120GB NTSC
    Firmware/Softmod: 4.2E, cIOS38Rev14
Program: USBloader GX (latest) and Neogamma R8
    State: Working

While using cios 249, several games are unplayable (freeze 1 minute ingame), using cios 222 solved this.

Ripping games (installing via usbloader gx) does not work! I dont think it is spindown, because i used western digital smartware to change sleep timer from 10 minutes to never. But it keep freezing! What could it be besides spindown? HDD or software related? I have latest usbloader.

Harddrive Manuf: Western Digital Caviar Black 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

    Model: WD5001AALS

    Size: 500GB

Format: 50GB WBFS Partition, 415GB NTFS (resized NTFS partition already in use using Acronis Disk Director first, then used WBFS)

Wii Version: 4.0U White Wii; Serial starts with LU39

Mod Version: Softmod using Dogeggs Guide for 3.1-4.1, no extra/newer/diferent IOS's or anything.

Program: NeoGamma R8 Beta 15, havent tried USB Loader GX yet

100% Working on 2nd USB port, (one above video cable cord) wouldnt see HDD on 1st port. No extra/different/newer IOSs needed. Tried 2 games.

*The enclosure's power source got unplugged while game was playing. Plugged it back in, game kept working no problems. Although the game was at the main menu, its wasnt in the middle of actual playing*
