    Hi,

I'm having trouble updating my HBC from 1.0.3 to 1.0.8.
I keep getting "no usable or vulnerable IOS" error message.
I've also started to do the steps in the 3.1-4.1 softmod by mauifrog (Part 1 with "Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed" option)
and ran into the same "no usable or vulnerable IOS" error message.
I have not been able to reach part 2 in the guide.

I've seen a similar posting in this thread (#306) where mauifrog suggested installing ios34-64-v3087.wad
(this link is not working presently)

My Wii is 3.2U and I have the HBC installed from the original twilight hack.
I would like to get it up to date and was wondering if it's worth
    the trouble.
    There is no priiloader.
HBC is version 1.0.3 despite what the syscheck reports below.
I followed and repeated the guide "Hackmii Installer FIX" ( this thread) a few times
trying with "reload another ios" (tried ios 36, 249*, 236, 222) with the same end result of "no usable or vulnerable IOS" error message
    - * ios249 gave me error -2011 for cIOS30 & 36.
    Is there another approach?
Since it's not broken, should I just leave it as is? Would there be any harm
if added the priiloader and D2X Cios?

Please note that we will not use fakesigned IOSes due to
security reasons. Only [31;1munpatched[37;1m versions will be used!

    Read the FAQ at: [36;1mhttp://hbc.hackmii.com/faq/[37;1m
Look for an updated version at: [36;1mhttp://bootmii.org[37;1m

If this is already the latest version... well, suck it.

Hackmii says your a super pirate and can not help you install HBC. Go to the wii settings and do a system format.

    Hi Maufrog,
    incredible!
my kids had about 26 saves on it with about 500 blocks free.
    After the format
that freed up a whole mess of memory!
I'm up to about 2100 blocks.
there must of been lots of stuff my kids hid in the memory.
I started following your guide again and I'm up to backing up the NAND.
I'm sure that I'll be ok from here on and I would like to Thank you for your help.
    cheers!

Hi Mauifrog and the wiihacks forum at large! I have been trying to install homebrew on my virgin 4.3u wii for about using this method and ModMii for about a week. I try and uninstall IOS58, but nothing happens, it just takes me back to the IOS menu. The problem is probably that I have no patched IOS', but how do I get IOS' without trucha bug restorer/HBC?

Whenever I try and patch via Nintendo (via MMM) or the other online service who's name I forgot (via Wii Mod), it gives me the -2011 error which means the signature check has failed. I think it also means the I have no NAND permissions. Of course I don't I have NAND permission I have a virgin Wii. Whenever I try ModMii's fix, one of the Wad's they give me gets the -2011 error, the rest install fine. The name of the one that gets an error is in the spoiler:

    Spoiler

Help plz, I've nearly given up. I know I'm probably missing something really basic since this is a virgin Wii.

    My syscheck:
