    Youda Man...

Thanks... I'll try this and post the logs... back in a bit...

Both me and my 11 year old daughter thank you for all your help...

I was able to load Boot-Mii and make a backup of my nand... tried loading the bootmini.elf of HackMii... still fails... here's the log..... I'll post the nand info in a bit... thanks again MauiFrog..

Waiting for mini to load ...
    IPC started (543)
    HackMii v0.8 installer starting up
    PVR = 00087200
running under IOS 37 rev 0x161f627 titles are installed
    iosAlloc() failed
got no usable IOS for the installer
    launched from BootMii (0, 0x25161f, 0x25161f)
    starting preparations

    preparations done!

    This installer can NOT continue!

There is no usable or vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii.
Please note that we will not use fakesigned IOSes due to
security reasons. Only unpatched versions will be used!

    Read the FAQ at: http://hbc.hackmii.com/faq/
Look for an updated version at: http://bootmii.org

If this is already the latest version... well, suck it.

Just a thought... because I DID have HackMii working back on the 3.4U system menu.. my syscheck says that Homebrew Channel is in IOS0... is that correct? I thought Homebrew was supposed to run from the new IOS58? Could this be part of the problem? Can I somehow remove Homebrew in IOS0?

    Thanks again.

Hmmm.. I dont know much about this nandbincheck... I keep getting the following error even after putting the dlls in the WINDOWS/System32 folder... I googled the error.. but there's no fix for it.. any ideas on how to get past it? Thanks in advance for all your help.

** nandBinCheck : Wii nand info tool **
    from giantpune
    svn r: 104
    built: May 30 2011 23:56:10

I believe the dlls and nand.bin go in the same dir as nandbincheck. If you like you can zip the nand.bin and upload it to mediafire or something, then I can try to look at it.

My apologies for getting this to you so late.. the first NAND.BIN would not work with NandBinCheck... had to reboot BootMii and try again.. so here's the nandbincheck log.... it's kinda lengthy...

That is interesting, most of it is greek to me but there appear to be alot of errors, possibly improperly removed channels and stuff. I think you should do chapter 2 of my softmod guide. After you do chapter 2 of the guide you should have priiloader installed and working. Once you have done that go the the wii system settings and do a system format, then load the hackmii installer again. You can load the hackmii installer from priiloaders load / install menu.

If you have any important savegames you should back them up with savegame manager first.

MauiFrog... I got it re-modded... All your advice was dead-on.

After going through Chapter 2 of your softmod guide.. I took your advice and formatted my Wii's memory. I then went back and re-installed everything in Chapter 2 again.. this time installing HackMii and Homebrew Channel first.

It's just like having a new Wii.

My daughter thanks you... My wife thanks you.. and I thank you... more than you can ever know...

Hi, I'm the guy mentioned a few pages back by Sativa Konze. Still having problems with HackMii and BootMii despite having the HBC up and running and being able to play games and roms and all that jazz. One thing I wanted to add is that when I started this process, my Wii was ver. 4.3, but after completing the HBC installation and getting to the final step, my Wii had somehow reverted to 4.1. Is this normal? Will this have an impact on how we try to fix this issue? Since I was 4.3, I used Letterbomb to get it done, but now since I'm 4.1, I tried using Bannerbomb.

Also, I tried following the directions in the Troubleshooting guide http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...ing-guide.html with Sections 2 and 3, but when I load the files onto my SD card and insert into the Wii, the Wii doesn't register the files on the SD Card. I tried going through the SD icon on the Home Screen, and going through Data Management/Channels/SD Card. All to no avail.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or anything else I can try?

    Z -

If you followed MauiFrog's "SoftMOD Any Wii" Guide and started with System Menu v4.3; you will notice, in "Chapter 2", under "Part 1 - Wad Installs"; the second set of WADs he has you install is labeled "Select the folder "System Menu 4.1" -press A"... So yes, using MauiFrog's tutorial does in fact downgrade you to System Menu v4.1. If I remember correctly, Nintendo removed the ability to use Homebrew in System Menu v4.3 NOT allowing you to play backups from different regions. By downgrading to System Menu v4.1, you can install channels and play games from ANY region. PAL, NTSC, NTSC-J, and even KOREA I believe. So yes, it is COMPLETELY NORMAL for you to have System Menu v4.1 if you successfully completed MauiFrog's tutorial.

Now, I dont know about you, but this thread currently had 84 pages. You start your post by saying "Hi, I'm the guy mentioned a few pages back by Sativa Konze" ... You dont mention which page, nor do you mention the specific problem you're having with your wii. If you go to page 82 and 83 when I started having issues, I relayed SPECIFIC issues in an effort to get help. A page number OR a description of the issue would be VERY helpful to the folks who read this thread and want to prove you with some help.

    What exactly is your issue?

Alpha, conveniently enough, Page 82 is where I was first mentioned. As for my issues, I followed Mauifrog's guide and got HBC on my console along with the CFG Loader and Save Manager. However, somehow I lost BootMii and when i try to reinstall it, it doesn't work. I tried getting it back by using the SD Card format where I put it on there and then try to find it on the Wii using the SD Card icon on the home page as well as going through Data Management/Channels/SD Card. Either way I do it, it acts like there is nothing on my SD Card.

Then there is also the issue with HackMii. Whenever I tried to use it during the original installation process, it would freeze my Wii.

Long story short, I can read/play Wii disc games or those loaded onto an HDD, but I can't get it to read or access any Virtual Console or WiiWare games through the mod. I figured that if I could get BootMii and/or HackMii back onto the HBC I could try to redo the steps, but I can't seem to get that to work

Have you tried one of the game exploits like BATHAXX or SMASHHAXX? I was only able to access homebrew initially by using BATHAXX.
