I just tried this method on my virgin wii. It has 4.2u update on it. I had homebrew channel in there using the Inidiana Pwns exploit. The only thing that got me stuck on is when i get to the wadmanager 1.5, i press A to accept then the next screen got IOS249 on it, i try to press A to continue but the wii remote dies out...it won't respond with the wii. So what can i do? i try installing the bootmii with ios and try installing as boot2. btw it didn't ask me to choose wii sd slot.
could i skip the 2nd part on the guide?

First off I'd like to say thanks very much for all the effort you've put into this so far. It really is appreciated.
I do have one problem though. When following the directions, I go to start up bootmii via Homebrew and my control falls out of sync and it freezes up. When I install bootmii as a boot2, the same problem occurs. Would there be any reason for this to be happening?

Yup, same for me. Using the process at the top, 2nd point when uninstalling 249, suffers from this, whilst Messie's uninstall does at least work with the wiimote, but fails with 3 errors when deleting the tickets. PAL wii btw.

up to now seems like a 50-50 chance... i cant really tell what seems to be the problem... gonna search it.... keep trying guys, nothing more you can do
