It's actually simpler than I first thought. The only fiddling seems to be swapping names of the files.
I wasn't even aware that bootmii boot.dol loading bypassed the normal wad restrictions and the -2011 issue. If this is the case then why have we been pissing about with TBR all this time?

PAL Wii here that had cIOS and HBC on 4_1. Updated to 4_2, now I have No cIOS but have restored HBC 1.0.5. But still no cIOS. The above method not work for me. I installed Bootmii as ios but it not appear in HBC when press home button. I can load WAD manager but whe try to unistall ios249 I get error. Still no cIOS
