when i started reading it i had just updated to 4.2U, when i saw you saying "do not update!" i thought "OH NOES!! CRAP!!!" but then i kept believeing and after a few tears and bad words and lots of concentration on your tutorial, that's quite simple thanks for that, i could manage to unlock my Wii and play my the half-blood prince game, now i'm awaiting for my homebrew Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Ok I tried this and it works great, just one more question. It worked great when the file I downloaded came as one .iso file, but now I have a different one, and it came with 63 different parts. What exactly do I have to do to burn this to a DVD?

Most likely they are .rar files and you one would have to extract it with Winrar so you will end up with ISO.
Noticed there is now a preloader available, so I tried to install it...
However, step D6 is giving me quite some problems... at least, I think it is step D6.
Whenever I try to dop IOS36 or IOS70, The screen changes to black with white distorted lines, and all forms of activity seem to stop. Figuring that this might be normal, I then installed the patched IOS70, and tried to install Preloader, buti t is telling me it cannot access root. I don't know how to solve this... (I do have a working internet connection set up.)
I am a severe newbie with all this, so any and all advice would be great.

I have yes... Currently installing IOS 202 and 222 with the CIOS222 installer through wifi, and downloading the offline versions of IOS 36 and 70 with NUSD, to try that next.
-edit- With those downloads on the SD card, in the root, in thier 00000001/000000xx/vxxxx folders, still same result trying to dop... screen with garbled lines.
