I am having trouble with this. I have LU6568 3.4u. I have installed HBC, IOS16, and LU64.wad from this fix. When I run LU64CIOS I select network install and receive an error

Wii is online and can access net via internet channel. No Nintendo updates or user agreements completed. Any ideas.
Also I have been installing wiiware and VC games via IOS16 with wad manager 1.4. Is it bad to use IOS16.
its ok to use ios16 and keep trying the lu64cios, it should go eventually...
OK, looks like it has installed. I believe my firewall was blocking it somehow. It was either a result of ICMP ping blocks, or my transparent squid proxy settings. I disabled both features on my linux box (running IPCop 1.4.21) and it worked like a charm. So if anyone is having my trouble, make sure your wii in not firewalled.
The only mod I have installed are from this guide. I am running Gecko OS and would like to load cheats into channels. I recieve "Error Getting Channel List" and this [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]. But this guide says not to install a CIOS, so am I stuck.
On a side note to my question, this has worked for me using usb loader 1.5
Well I ran the LU64 fix and now I can access usb loader and launch Backup. Before all I got was a black screen. Prob is that neither will load any games. I get a -1 error on usb loader(I tried a kingston Pen Drive and a Hd Toshiba) and a dvd error on Backup laucnh(I tried 3 games!).
My wii is 3.4U LU644...
i have a LU64 with 3.4u ,and i installed the homebrew and lu4fix (greeat THANKS!!)
but now i want to upgrade my system to 4.0 using [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register].. Is it safe, Will I able to use usb loader or backup loader?
Okay...so I tried the fix today and it worked like a charm (after initially giving a ret-1 error). Now I can run wads and have installed the gamma loader channel! Problem now is none of my 2 backed up dvds will run from the backup channel - they both give me a code dump. I tried gecko os and it said 'error: no dvd' for both dvds as well. Whereas my original Wii sports disc loads fine on both gamma and gecko.
Given that mine is a LU64 wii is there anything else I need to do to get my dvds to run or is it just a case of bad burn (Moser Baers at 2x!)? I followed the instructions exactly as mentioned in the readme file of the lu64 fix (apart from having to use custom wad manager to install the first wad - as other people have mentioned before).
