your wii will not like that cios249 one little bit!, LU64+ only work with new IOS that one you installed is based off an old version, get rid asap! it will not brick you removing it and is not in the slightest bit 'risky'! try removing it with [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]....then install [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]

    thanks for help!

I made a quick attempt at uninstalling using the CIOS uninstaller - but unfortunately it's doing the same thing as the wadmanager and the batch installer - freezes at "clearing bss" and won't load.

I tried using CIOS uninstaller 1.0 after, same problem.

I'm guessing my last option here is to try anytitledeleter?

Thanks again for all the support

::sigh::.. well.. I tried using anytitle deleter v1.03 and it gave me all sorts of errors, but loaded.

Got to the screen to try to uninstall IOS240 - but got the following error:

    Error! ISFS_Open (ret = -106)
    (A) Uninstall this title
    (B) Abort
I tried to go ahead anyway and pressed A, the following error came up

    - Deleting ticket file /ticket/00000001/000000f9.tik...
Ticket delete failed (No ticket?) -102
    - Deleteing title file /title/00000001/000000f9...
    Error! ISFS_Delete(ret = -102)
    Press any key...
I'm guessing there is a slight possibility that the version of anytitledeleter I have might be outdated... but I'll see what I can dig up.

any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Okay - sorry to convolute the thread - quick update

tried the newest anytitle deleter: I notice right off the bat I get:
Informing Wii that I am God... Error! ES_Identify (ret = -1017)
if I press through that, I get several other errors, all ret = -102 and -1017, and then region detection failure..

Attempting the same deleting of IOS249 yields the same error as before (seen above).

    ...looks grim. Any other suggestions?

and thanks again for all the support dogeggs

ok - got a couple more ideas - try [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register], hopefully it will overwrite the problem ones.

    Dogegg,

Is it because he said he followed the Dummies guide that you can tell his IOS249 will not work? I have been reading up for several days and planned to follow the [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]. Was something differently done in this case than in that Update 4 post? Just trying to make sure I don't fubar my kids' new Wii

Thanks, and thanks for taking the time you do to help the rest of us!

Just want to give a big thanks to you Dogeggs!

Third times a charm I guess - worked perfectly thus far. I have yet to update my system to 4.0, but I'm contemplating leaving it at 3.4. Any thoughts on that?

Anyway, again - huuge thanks for helping me out and troubleshooting for me when I had believed my wii was a lost cause!

I'm very new here.. plz have patient. I have home brew channel on my LU65 4.0u Wii.
It was 3.4u, but I upgraded it 2days ago.. not knowing what I did.
Not knowing ser# starting with LU65, I installed home brew channel using bannerbomb somehow.

Can I use that HBC anyway? or should I make HBC with Zelda hack like you said?

Thank you in advance. you save my life.
