I did this, then installed 3in1 soft mod, so I have backuploader, softchip loader etc. I can run my NTSC games fine, but when I try PAL games, I either get green screen or black screen. Is there a certian wad I should run to play backup PAL games on my NTSC LU65 3.4U Wii? I have searched around but have not found too much info on this thanks
Would it be possible to further elaborate as to why having connect24 turned on is a bad idea? I'm on LU64 with factory 3.4u soft modded with the LU64 fix. I would like to access the other factory stuff like shop, weather, etc. but don't want to sacrifice my usb loader that I have backed up all of my games on. If accessing this other stuff would render usb loader useless then screw it its not worth it. Any further info would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
I did the lu64+ fix. All works well on menu 3.4u with backup loader etc. Just a few questions. #1 Should I upgrade to 4.0? I tried to play American idol encore that requires a microphone but wii won't recognize it. Another post I read says this is because I need Cios rev 8. #2. What rev. am I at with lu64 fix?
Lu64 fix says
THIS IS FOR LU64/65 ONLY DO NOT DOWNGRADE DO NOT INSTALL CIOSCORP
DO NOT INSTALL A CIOS.
i have 3.4 version and LU65 serial number..
i installed homebrew channel just fine, but when i tried installing the fix, i've been getting black screen. am i not supposed to go to homebrew channel?
i've copied the contents of LU64fix.rar to SD card..
how do i install IOS16 with Wad Manger?? all i'm getting is this screen..
and when i select Wad Manager or LU64 Fix cios, it goes to black screen
and i have to turn it off manually... PLEASE HELP!!
@ peter2626 - I read somewhere that the lu64cios is something like rev 11. That's why rev 12 or above is compatible with our consoles. I read somewhere that rev 10 or below could brick you...
I installed 13b get my USB HDD working. I read that the lu64 one has limited functionality. Maybe similar with your mic.
@ naenamjathomas - just confirming... You know that you need the "apps" and "wad" folders at the root. Do not put the "SD Card" folder at the root with "apps" and "wad" as subfolders. If you have the SD card setup ok and HBC running fine, you should see options for starting wad manager, etc., from HBC. Start Wad Manager and it'll ask you to select the .wad. Just follow the instructions.

boot.dol
private folder
apps folder
wad folder
that is all
i installed homebrew channel just fine, no problem
after that, when i go to homebrew channel this is what i see
Custom Wad Manager
LU64 Fix cios
Wad Manager
when i go to Wad Manager, the screen turns black and the remote turns off.
