Hmmm interesting there,

do you have ios 38, 53 and 55 installed?

I also have ios51 installed too, Also try gamma backup loader see if it makes a difference.

Hi Trekster i have only tried the ios 37,ios 36 and media loader 249 up to now,but have recently updated wii to 3.4e,wondering if that may be the issue. I will try what you have suggested in the last thread later,but if you have any info on the 3.4e update and if this is the prob then please let us know.

I got the instruments working using this thread.

BUT a problem appeared.

I could connect to wifi in RB2 before installing this IOS. Now i cant, any ideas?

and i just found another problem, it wont save anything or load anything, i mean the save games files. O_o its weird.

Hello all, Im new here but have been reading a lot! Thanks for the guide on getting the instruments to work it has been quite helpful until I made a mistake...

I was following your guide I ran CIOS installer and the first time selected the first option ios 36 with ios 36.... this selection installed properly and there weren't any problems.

After noticing my mistake I went back and changed the selection to the correct one as indicated in the tutorial and when initializing the network it will dump the code and wont install or DL anything.

The network works for everything else so Im not sure how to get the correct load installed.

Update: Anything I try to install from the cios installer now results in an error after initializing network.

"Exception (DSI) Occured"
Then a lot of numbers

"Code DUmp"
Then a lot more numbers.

Well, I have installed IOS 38, 55, 53, 249.

Before I started this project I could launch the original RB2 game disc from the Wii Menu with instruments and now it wont launch the original game disc at all. It will recognize the disk but when I try to play, it goes to a black screen and wont load the original game.

The backup copy will load but the instruments wont work. Im still getting the error mentioned above when trying to install ios 37 with 36.



Update: I upped the firmware back to 3.4 and reinstalled everything. This fixed the original RB2 disc not loading. However, will the steps in this tutorial allow me to use the instruments with the backup disc of RB2? If so I still get the same error when trying to install the correct ios package.

Update # 2 Solution

I fixed the DSI error in the above post.
I was trying to use my wired USB connection for internet. I changed to wireless and it isntalled without error... Not sure what the problem was but using the built in wireless allowed me to install IOS 37 with ios 36 rev 7 dip as 249 without error.

Hey guys, thanks for the guide but I can't get the installer to work, when I try it via Internet I get this message: failed to allocate temp buffer...

And when I try it with the files downloaded manually I get the error: failed: -1017 install returned: - 1

I have 3.4E, Backup Gamma and IOS 249 rev 7 installed, any suggestions? I'm really pissed cause I bought the complete Pack brandnew in a store and now this

This worked godly! I just followed the directions given. At first I tried it, but it failed. I went to double check and do the thing again and made sure that it was on the correct settings, and BAM! It worked!

So if this didn't work, double check before giving up on it, because it does work!
