The app itself is the "basic loader" link. That will give you the boot.dol app that shows on the Homebrew channel.

If you want the one that's integrated into the loader of your choice just download which ever loader you want from post 1. I have included the loader.bin in each of the 3 loaders.

I have the family edition Wii and i'm planning to do these stuffs on my friend's old wii and then bring the USB drive back to play on my wii. My questions is at what step I can start with the new wii? And I've read on gbatemp that I have to use the same wii remote during to whole process, is this true? I would be appreciated if someone can help me in details. Thanks.

Yes, if your Wii system is the one without the Gamecube ports, and you're using your friend's, you must use the same wiimote. Your best bet would be to sync your main Wiimote with your friend's system first and then use that. Good luck.

What Quackington said. Once you've verified the discs on your friends Wii, re-sync the WiiMote to your Wii and the games should work.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Thank you guys for the answer. Just to be sure, all I have to do is to bring my usb and wii remote to my friend's house to do all the stuffs and then go home and play it on my wii right? I'm going to use the classic controller pro but I understand that only my wii remote is needed for the verification, right?

Yes, that's correct as far as I'm aware.

It's been a while. I used the guide here last year, took a considerable amount of time until I found out I could just use Configurable USB Loader which I already had installed! I used it to rip all my GC games and then verify them using the discs, all games work okay. I recently bought 007 Everything or Nothing for Gamecube and proceeded to use CFG Loader to rip the game and then download the cover. All worked okay without any problems. I then wanted to start it up so I could verify it, and chose to start the game from CGF Loader. I got the following message, which I usually get when a game is loading up:

    Booting game, please wait....

path-usb:/games/007_ EVERYTHING OR NOTHING [GENE69]/game.iso, iso found !!
    emu. memcard is disabled

And then nothing happens. It just stays on this screen. I tried some of my other Gamecube games and they're all fine. Are there any specific game issues? Perhaps this is one of them. I'd like to start this game soon and would prefer to play via HDD if possible.

    Thanks.
    Hi guys,

I'm having the exact same problem, this time with Mario Sunshine. I ripped it this morning and made sure I put the Devolution setting to 'on' for the game, but I'm getting the following message:

    Booting game, please wait....

    path-usb:/games/SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE [GMSE01]/game.iso, iso found !!
    emu. memcard is disabled

    =====

Then it just freezes on this screen, nothing happens. I don't have emulated memory card, I have a Gamecube card in my Wii. The only thing I remember changing from last time when I ripped 007 is that I swapped the 1064 memory card in my Wii to a 256MB one (black one) because I heard Wii can corrupt the big cards. Does Devolution hadd something to the memory card which is now not on my smaller card?

Could this be causing any sort of issue? Has anyone ripped Mario Sunshine? I'm using CFG Loader by the way.

    Thanks.

It says the emu memory card is disabled. The problem lies within CFG loader probably. Tueidj has mentioned on several occasions it is a buggy program. Try USB Loader GX and see if that works for you, it's what I use and I've had no problems.

Thanks for this. I'm trying to follow your guide on the first page of this thread for USB Loader GX. I've downloaded an installed it, taking a bit of getting used to since I've only ever used CFG Loader.

For some reason USB Loader can't see any of the coverart for the games I already have, is there any way of getting it to find the ones I have on my SD card already instead of downloading them through the app again? I've tried downloading but the app keeps crashing, either can't get a network connection (stuck on 'initialising network') or downloads a bit and then stops.

Anyway, important thing: I have gotten Mario Sunshine to work on USB Loader GX. Has to faff around a little while with this loader.bin path.

Finally: themes...I know this follows the Wii's theme, but I think it's a horrible, bland theme. Any decent ones you guys can recommend or a site I can browse. Is there an easy download option via the app itself? I do like the channel view, which looks just like the Wii menu but the white is so off-putting.

    Thanks again.

You can use themes with GX however I can't tell you how at the moment. I'm a bit too busy to give the full details (sorry). As for cover arts just press the 1 button and you should be able to download them
