Hey guys. I ripped a bunch of my GC games to my HDD via Devolution and CFG Loader, however I have two wiimotes and I'm not sure which one I used to verify my discs. Is there a way of finding out?

    Thanks.

Unless you're trying to play the games on another system there isn't any reason to know. But if you want to find out, the only way I know of will involve a second system that can use Devolution.

    1) Plug the HDD into system #2

    2) Load a game that's been verified.

    3) When the drive blinks that means it's asking for your WiiMote. Connect one of them, if it doesn't work, connect the other.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Thanks for this. I'm asking because I have two Wii systems, one NTSC-US and one PAL. I do all my gaming on the NTSC one, which has Devolution installed. The PAL one is disconnected but I'm not sure if I used the wiimote for that system. I want to sell my PAL one, so the black motion plus controller will go with it too. My concern was, what if that's the one I used to verify, if for example I use Devolution on my Wii U in future? I still have all my discs and don't intend of getting rid of them, is there a way to re-verify on my current Wii?

Re. step 3 above, do you only connect the remote when it blinks? Can you not have it connected from prior to this moment?

    Thanks.

As long as your Wii can read GCN discs, yes, you can reverify them. Just delete the .dvv files and load the game. You'll have to insert the disc again, just connect the remote you want to be attached to the verification before hand.

I believe you have to wait till Devolution asks for the disc/WiiMote before you can connect it, I could be wrong about that. I haven't used my old Wii in a while since I set up my Wii U instead.

    Game: Mega Man X Collection
    Game ID: GXGE08
    Region: NTSC-U
    Status: Working
    Devolution Version Tested: r200
Notes: When using component cables on an old Wii the screen will black out after entering a game. With standard AV cables it works perfect.

Yes, that was me. The "issue" you're posting has nothing to do with Devolution - if you try running the game from the system menu you'll find the same thing happens because your TV apparently doesn't support non-interlaced/double-strike mode over component.

Oh, it's my TV then. I thought it was Devolution causing it. My mistake. Thanks for explaining that.

Haven't you ever tried running the game normally?

Not Mega Man X Collection, no. After I started using Devolution I've just ripped my games and put them in a box for safe keeping. I only jumped to the conclusion it was a Devolution issue because non of my other games have ever had that issue.

You wouldn't know if there's a way to get my TV to display it correctly via component would you?

I don't see a link to download the devo app itself anywhere.. I don't understand. Is it built into the loaders?
