WD My Book 1TB USB 2.0 unless I am mistaken.

Didn't work with the logical / primary thing, but considering my Wii games alone take up more space than I've got spare on this hard drive I'm going to buy another external... guess I'll try this again when I get the new one.

A: Strangly this happened to me, for some reason the colors were reversed, the sound was buggy and the frame rate was choppy and slow. Go into the games indvidual settings and force the video mode to your system region.
Oooh, so that's what your supposed to do. I had a game that was PAL while my Wii was NTSC, but I kept forcing to the region of the game instead of the system! I thought forcing changed the Wii not the game. Looking back on it it's kind of silly.

Actually either way works lol, I just choose force to system region. The weird thing is both my system and the game are NTSC but I have to force the game region lol...I don't know why.

Well I've got the day off from work so I might as well get on that update I've been teasing the last couple week :P

Expect it (or at least part of it) tonight!

Update finished, there is still more to do but for now what I've added should be good.

Easy to follow guide, well done. I would like to bring up something that's been bugging me. Can someone explain to me how it can be piracy if no one produces gamecube games. Who would someone be pirating the proceeds from. I understand and support the no-piracy policy with wii and other newer games. I would gladly purchase a new game cube title, and if I bought a used game from someone the original artist wouldn't see any of that money so what's the difference . Nintendo makes no new profit from gamecube so why should they care what we do with the games. I don't know if I'm breaking some taboo but I wanted to get that off my chest

You do make a valid argument but the the way the copyright laws are Nintendo owns the rights to their games for 75-90yrs (after which they become public domain), so even if they have left the GC in the past and aren't making money from it (I can't say if they are or not cause I'm no lawyer but I'd assume they don't profit from second hand games) they still have every right to say "hey, go buy our games". I have no problems with that, GC games are pretty cheap now anyway (aside from a few of the rare ones)

Oh boy, I'm in the process of revising the guide (working on the CFG and WiiFlow sections as I type this) and already getting a bit frustrated. These loaders are so confusing to me but I'm determined to add them to the guide for those who like them...I just need to figure out how to get CFG and WiiFlow to acknowledge Devolution and find my games. I'll keep you all updated on how this goes.

Progress Update: Well I've got it just about all set now, typed up on notepad. Just doing some revising/editing, seeing if everything is understandable by following the guide myself, also preparing the required attachments as well. I should be done by the end of the week (hopefully sooner) but I will make a new post once it's all good to go

Progress update #2: Coming along very nicely. I believe I'm all finished with the Basic, GX, CFG Loader portions. All that's left is to work on WiiFlow, type it up the section for it, and do a little proof reading/editing. I want it all to be coherent and easy to understand

With any luck I should be completely done by tomorrow night or possibly early Thursday evening. I realize this guide seems to be the relatively ignored (having 8,500+ views after only about 4 months is not nearly as ignored as I originally thought lol) when compared to the Dios Mios guide which gets pretty high level of traffic but I still hope that people use this guide and find it helpful. Devolution isn't particularly hard to set up and use as it requires no installation but I have seen a good deal of confusion about how to use it with the big 3 loaders (GX, CFG and Flow) so I decided to make a point of adding them to this guide. Anyway, I'm starting to rant lol. Just letting you all know it will definitely be up this week, I know I've been saying for a few weeks now but life's troubles are starting to slow down so I've had the time to work on this now. I make a new post here once I have finished and edited the guide into post 1.

Umm... I am confused why you are using WinRAR to rename the RAW memorycard dump to memcard.bin

Are file extensions turned off in your OS configuration or something? Vista and Win7 both have file extensions turned on by default... (not sure about XP though)

I have Windows 7 but for some reason file extensions are not displaying even though I set them to lol...maybe that got messed up somehow, I'll check when I get home. But yeah, I've been using WinRar to change the file extensions

I know something's messed up in my PC cause every once in a while my built in SD readers driver mysteriously deletes itself...
