That is odd. If I had the game I'd try it and see what happens for me using my official 251 and madkatz 1019 card. Being that you said it worked after viewing your card in the Wii saves menu I would have to think it's something with Devolution but only teudj would be able to tell you for sure.

Do you have a 3rd party card you can try?

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

No, the two official 251 cards are the only GC memory cards I own. The thing is, I've never had any issues with any other game... though admittedly I also haven't gone past seeing if a game verifies on many of them.

Random off-topic TIL: you can exchange a $500,000 note of Vietnamese currency for only ~$25 USD. A legit bill with 5 zeroes for only that much, and it can always be exchanged back? Yes please. I would totally hang it on my wall. (heck maybe it'd even be worth tons in the future)

The return of the DSP bug or a something like that maybe.

I tested Rebel Strike with an old revision (r169) and it has the exact same "damaged memory card" issue as r200. Maybe it's some form of anti-piracy protection in the game and Devolution is triggering it? I dunno.

Hopefully teudj see this and can explain the issue. I'm sure he would know what's wrong.

He'd probably just ask for, to quote from a PSO forum:

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but is there a way to make a USB flash compatible with Wii?
    Thanks in advance!

Depends on the flash drive, just like it depends on the hard drive. It's either compatible or not. To the Wii, it's just a USB Device and doesn't care what it is on the back end. Check this thread for known compatibility: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...lity-list.html

Also if your flash drive does not work try nuking the partition table and creating a new one. (I normally use Parted Magic to do such a thing)

I had to do that in order to get my 16GB Corsair Voyager to work with my Wii.

Sorry to double-post, but don't go buying one of those huge SDHC cards just yet - here's a better solution:

Though I think you can toggle whether a drive is hidden or not via Parted Magic and/or Gparted as well.

This will work with at least USB Loader GX r1216, WiiFlow 4.2, and a custom-made version of CFG based on 70 r63 LINK

However from my knowledge this does not work with Devolution...
