Take note that I just edited my post a minute ago, I clarified a couple things.

EDIT: and I got my avatar uploaded as well if you care. :P

Cool avatar and welcome to WiiHacks by the way (seeing as to your from GBAtemp I don't think I need to give you the full welcome message with all the links about how to hack your Wii :P)

As I am using the iPhone app right now it will be a pain to edit all that info in right now, but I shall do so either tomorrow or, if I'm too busy enjoying Christmas with the family, then probably sometime Wednesday.

Edit: just curious, I have no Multi-disc games to try. How does the disc swapping work? I know from what I've read that you press eject when prompted and Devolution will load the game2.iso as long as it's in the same folder as disc 1. Will verification of disc 2 need to be done as well or will verifying disc 1 also verify disc 2?

Actually I'm clueless on how multi-disc works as well. I only have one game that's multi-disc and it was only my father that played it years ago, so I don't know where in the game the 2nd disc is used.

Regarding the "running in Wii mode", one thing is that Phantasy Star Online can actually be played online since Devolution emulates the GameCube modem with the Wii's wifi. Another thing is that Killer 7 has preliminary support for USB mouse & keyboard controls. However, I don't actually own either games so I'm just reporting what other people have said.

Oh, and my avatar is Tohsaka Rin (Tohsaka is the family name) from the Fate/stay night visual novel (we do not speak of the anime, for it tarnishes the greatness that is known as Fate/stay night; the movie is good however, but practically requires you to have read the visual novel to understand what goes on)

I'm gonna have to pick up a 2 disc game to try it lol. I've heard good things about Tales of Symphonia and Metal Gear Solid so I'll hunt down one of them.

I'm going to have to recommend you keep tabs on the Devolution thread on GBATemp, since that's pretty much where we post about new versions and/or any changes we notice. In particular I JUST found out (literally 5 minutes ago) what r169 does differently from r168 and posted the info in said thread:

Note that it is emulated as being attached to port 4, so any real controller plugged into that port won't be usable.

Also found this interesting about the preliminary widescreen hack from the same thread:

Ah, very good to see. I'm really enjoying Devoltuion more with each update it gets. I can't wait till Classic Con support is added.
And thanks again for the info about GCMM, I wasn't aware that it could rip the memory cards and be used by Devo without conversion. Last I had read (and tried for myself) Devo only worked with 16mb cards and anything smaller, say a 8mb card, would be read as corrupt and say you need to format the card which is why I looked into a work around. I will have to try that version of GCMM you're referring to for myself before revising that section of the guide, I do hope it works as you've said though as that would save a lot of time and help avoid confusion for people who are new to all this.

I'm assuming you're replying to the last post I just made? Do you think you could approve the post so that I can actually see it? (when I posted it said it would be displayed after being approved by a moderator).

Off-topic: I need to make a correction, the anime MOVIE for Fate/stay night is good, however it practically requires you to have read the visual novel just to understand what is going on

I'm pretty new to the staff so I'm not sure how to approve a post (I don't see one that says needs approval). But actually the post I was referring to was the first post you made in which you pointed out to me that GCMM could rip memory cards and they could be used directly.

I thought your mentioning of "each update it gets" was a direct reference to what I posted in that "to be approved" post - basically I think I discovered that r169 added keyboard text-entry support for Phantasy Star Online.

BTW, it doesn't need to be stated that Devolution can also greatly reduce load times, right?

Oh yeah, when I said about each update makes it better I was referring to that post you're talking about. Is it still showing as awaiting approval?

And yes, when USB loading games it should go without saying that the load times are cut down...but I guess it could hurt to add that to the guide too :P

Edit: Hmm, not sure why it's not showing that post or why I can't approve it even though I can see it...
