I do have the custom path looking at the correct area of my ad card. It's a boot.dol instead of a loader.bin. Is that the problem?
Yes, if you DLed the attachment I provided it should already have the loader.bin inside the same folder as the Devolution boot.dol.

Please let me know if it does or not as I may need to update the attachment.

Would you mind if I hosted your guide on my site, I'm putting together a page for guides and solutions to common errors you may receive ?
I'm asking here since I can't PM you anymore due to you becoming part of the Staff.

You can PM if you want
I won't mind, but I noticed a while back when I'd try to PM you it would tell me your inbox is full so you might want to clear it out :P

But anyway, yes. You can link my guide.

Oh, I never noticed, but thanks !
I thought the site prevented you from PMing the staff, I figured it would spit my message back at me, laughing, lol.

interesting.... I have a 1:1 copy of Intellivision Lives (on dvd-R) as well as the actual GC disc. For verifying the Game the first time, only the actual disc worked. I wonder if the verification process somehow requires a mini disc format.

It MUST be the original disc, burned games will NOT work...I clearly specified this in the guide.

I just registered to point out a few things regarding your guide. For reference I'm a relatively active tester for Devolution in its development & testing thread back at its home forum (GBATemp).

    Anyway...

    1. The Wii homebrew app GCMM as of v1.4 can make raw memory card dumps from official Nintendo memory cards that can be directly used with Devolution - no conversion necessary, just rename the dumped file to the filename Devolution uses. The only thing though is that your emulated memory card dump will be limited to however many blocks your real memory card has, even when used in Devolution (so with small memory cards, you may want to consider using per-game emulated memory cards).

    2. The version of Devolution you have bundled is old - it's up to r169 as of this post. Take note that in its thread on GBATemp, while the opening post still says r159, the download links actually go to whatever the newest revision is (unfortunately the only way to find out the revision is to boot it on a Wii or maybe the Dolphin emulator). If you care, a notable difference is that F-Zero GX works as of r160.

    3. Devolution, unlike DIOS MIOS, actually runs games in Wii mode. The most notable thing about this is that games with framerate issues will have around 50% better performance. This is particularly noticable in Midway Arcade Treasures 3 with 2 players in Rush 2049 in "Single Race" mode on the "Metro" track - on the GameCube it runs at like half speed as you climb the first hill, but in Devolution it's absolutely FLAWLESS and runs at full speed constantly.

Thank you for the info, I saw the rev number next to teudj's link still showing r159 so I assumed it hadn't been updated yet which is why I haven't updated the attachment. I am aware that it runs the games on Wii-mode but for some reason I did not mention that in the guide. Thank you for the feedback, I will add this useful info to the guide.
