Did you download my attachment? Did you set the custom path for the loader.bin as detailed in the guide? The loader.bin is most definitely in the attachment, you just need to download it and tell USB loader GX where to find it via the custom paths setting

You need to tell in your guide to download both source and main file. The source file contains the loader. I was able to get my copy of custom robo to work! Thanks. I had a bunch of emulators from my sdhc. Should I redownload them? Would it be ok to transfer them back to my 2g drive. It was mainly gba snes and nes.

My guides attachments contain the source (loader.bin) and main file (boot.dol)...as stated in my guide "each attachment contains everything you need to get Devolution running". Anyway, yes you can copy your emulators from one SD card to another with no issues.

I currently have Dios Mios set up and working. But now I'm wondering, should I use Diivolution instead?
Is diivolution better with game compatibility vs Dios Mios? Is it more convenient to set up an use?
I had my games stored away in a storage, so I used Dios Mios. I just got them out now, so I can use Diivolution instead.

Devolution is better in compatibility from what I've noticed. For one thing it fully supports disc audio streaming whereas DM doesn't. There's a handful of games I've tried on DM that had no music or sound at all but they work perfectly on Devolution.

As for convenience, I do find Devolution more convenient as well. The main reason I feel this way is A) you don't install it to the system, it runs straight from SD like any other app does. And B) it's much easier to remove if you decide you don't want it. For DM you'd have to re-install the stock MIOS file the system uses, for Devolution you just plug your SD card into computer and delete either apps/gc_devo or if you're using one of the 3 main loaders (GX, CFG or Flow) you'd just navigate to Devolutions loader.bin and delete that. No messing with your NAND.

You can even use Devolution in conjunction with Dios Mios if you'd like

Thanks for the fast reply, that's just what I needed to hear. I'm glad I decided to ask it here. I'd give more than one thanks if I could xD

One other question. I should take another look at the guide for Diivolution, but do I have to re-rip the games, or can I use the same format as Dios Mios? Ex: USB:/Games/[GameID]/Game.iso
Then just have the game disc in to confirm it?

Does Diivolution support both SD and USB loading?

I'm happy to hear that Diivolution supports audio, great for playing Star Fox Adventures and Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex.

My understanding is saving works better on devolution as well. Emulated memory card has worked perfectly for me and I was able to transfer all my saves from my memory card using this excellent guide.

I tried this first and I haven't even bothered trying dios mios

Wether or not you need to re-rip them depends, when you used the games on Dios Mios, did you run them through DiskEx first? If so you probably will have to re-rip as only a few games will work after DiscEx has compressed them.

I never had any issue with DM NMM, so to speak, but it's much easier to manage saves on Devolutions card cause all you need is Dolphin on your PC and to rename Memcard.bin to Memcard.raw.

I really wish someone would just make a virtual memory card manager for Devolution though so it could all be done on the Wii/Wii U.

Random question, would you or anyone else here happen to still have a copy of both the boot.dol and the loader.bin for r197?

    I have the boot.dol for 196, but I don't think I have either for 197 anymore.

I'll check tomorrow just to be sure
