So I'll have to look into alternative ways of verifying the games on Wii U, including the disc expander thing.
Can't you just sync the wiimote with your Wii U. Maybe I am not understanding but isn't that how it is supposed to work? Verification on Wii, then pair remote with Wii U...the verification is stored on wiimote.

Seems like no matter what you have to reverify to upgrade to version with controller support.

Any word on how the pressure sensitive triggers are handled on Classic and Pro controller? I am assuming if you use a PS3 controller these buttons work on L2 and R2 normally. Xbox controller doesn't use Bluetooth in my understanding so I doubt it will get support. Interesting that he stuck to his guns about not adding USB controller support.

Actually they are still outputting DVVs to my HDD, but appearatnly the verification process is now tied to the WiiMote as well. So, if I'm understanding right, all one has to do is verify the games on an old Wii with GC support, then sync the remote used to the next Wii (ie Wii U) and they should work. Unless I'm misunderstanding. I have yet to try this over even hack my Wii U so I can't say for sure.

Yeah, so unless the disc expander works a BC wii is still required. I still am not going to hack my Wii U yet but I want to try this on my Wii.

Since this is just released do you have to use the sample loader in order to have access to things like editing the button mapping?

it is sort of crazy brilliant to use wiimote in the antipiracy. I think we found out its tied to the console earlier, you can't just take your verified hard drive and plug it in another console. But now you can if you have the wiimote to go with it. What I am wondering is once verified do you always need that wiimote connected to run the game? Can you use two hard drives And have one dedicated to the wiiu and one to the wii and to do so will you have to use two wiimotes or transfer one back and forth between consoles....so many questions but its exciting to have the controller support

I guess we'll find out all in due time

Just need time to play with the new update.

Edit: Confirmed, Wii U Pro does work on the old Wii. It took me a bit of doing to make it happen, as it fought my WiiMote for the rights to "slot1" but I got it.

Still gonna play around with this some more, I love playing Wind Waker with the ProCon

Someone says the disc adapter will not work to verify discs on the WiiU. It should work on the non-BC Wiis though at least.

As far as I can tell at the moment no. I'll have to look into it deeper but I can say right off the bat that this r200 does indeed still create DVVs on the USB drive. I'm sure there's a reason for that, I'm assuming you'd still need to use the same hard drive as you used when verifying the games but I guess time will tell. I'll look into it more when I can.

Edit: Ok, I've now updated the attachments to include the r200 update next I'll begin revising the text to accommodate for this. May take a while to get it all straightened out but I'll try my best.

    This just happened this afternoon
Yes, Devolution is fully compatible with Wii U now, but only if your Wii U's vWii is soft modded...and you still need a functional GC compatible Wii to verify your games.

And yes, you can use a Wii U ProCon on the old Wii with Devolution, I spent a good 20-40 minutes using it on Wind Waker and it worked flawlessly. It's not as uncomfortable as it looks, believe me.

Well as long as you have a bc wii or a family edition wii and a disc adapter to do the verification. I don't see any way around that at that moment.

Supposedly using a 3-inch disc adapter does NOT work for verification on a Wii U.
