Ah, this is good to know. I'll have to revise the guide a bit to add this info in.

sample loader? Also when i ran it cfg usb loader seemed to resize it itself when i put it in cfg usb loaders folder, but yeah no change, i might try it using the rawtools you've linked and see if makes a difference

Ok then, what would you recommend for gamecube play then, because usb cfg loader works fine for my wii games

Please refrain from double posting. If 24hrs has not passed, use the EDIT button.

The "sample loader" is listed in this guide as "Basic Loader". I'd recommend trying that and seeing if it works better for you.

I recommend USB Loader GX to load both Wii & GC games. Different people will recommend different loaders, it depends on a persons preference. If you don't want to stop using CFG Loader then your best bet is to just use CFG for Wii games and use the Devolution "sample loader" for GC games.

This way is much less convenient than using 1 loader for both but it works nontheless.

I think when i installed softmod using the any wii guide, it installed all cfg and usb gx but not wii flow, i installed that manually, i might try out usb loader gx and the basic loader, but yeah i like usb loader and maybe a future update might fix it

Also, I'm updating the guide right now. Nothing too big, for the moment just updating to Devolution r197 and USB Loader GX r1215 (not updating WiiFlow and CFG loaders themselves because CFG can self update to the newest betas, and WiiFlow, as far as I know, is already up to date). I'll edit this post when the update is complete.

    Edit: Guide updated

Now to work a little on the Shop Channel guide...I started it but have yet to finish lol. I still have some improvments to make here as well

Not nessisarily, you can cut the devolution loader.bin to another location on the SD card and tell USB Loader GX where to find it if you'd prefer doing that. Though it probably will just be easier to download my USB Loader GX attachment and follow the directions in the spoiler.

As for the memory card, it is not unlimited. Depending on how you create it you'll have up to 16mb (16mb is the biggest).

Scenario A) You rip your own physical card. The memcard.bin will be equal in size to that ripped memory card. So if you rip a 59 block card, your emulated card will only be able to hold 59 blocks as well.

Scenario B) You create a blank card with Devolution and import your saves to it (not detailed in the guide yet, but soon). Devolution creates a 16mb blank card on its own if you enable MemCard emulation and don't copy over your own ripped memory card. Any time devolution creates a card for you, it will always be 16mb.

This keeps up and we'll have a reduction from Major (rule breaker) to Pvt (hell), lol
