i put it in a folder named luigi's mansion and then put it with my wii games in the wbfs folder on my hd.
You are not following this guide....please start from Part 1.Originally Posted by teentitans14
So I wasn't getting email notification from the GBATemp thread and missed that r196 came out. There's no official change log (like usual), but the following have been discovered as new:
F-zero GX to AX patch
Timer fix for excessively fast games
HDD that worked on r169 but not r188 should work again
EDIT: Quoting myself in the GBATemp thread:
Panel de Pon's timer now runs at the correct speed in r196, and that's even WITHOUT the timer fix.
Also the GX -> AX seems to use an older version of the code currently available (LINK - version 8 as of this post) since Devolution lacks the AX title screen, all the AX racers (Devo only has those you've unlocked in GX), and the Pilot Points screen. I've only tested v4 and even that had the previously-listed content.
On a random note, turns out that Nintendo Puzzle Collection and Mario Party 4 work in Devolution with DiscEX compression! Mario Party 4 is compressed to ~500MB while Nintendo Puzzle Collection gets compressed all the way down to ~150MB!

Very cool. I'll will have to update the attachment to 196 soon.
Also I'm thinking I might just want to test my 20 or so games with DiscEx compression just for the hell of it. I'm seeing numerous reports about several games working when compressed and it has me wondering which ones of mine will. I'm sure the community would love to know which games can and can't be compressed.
I'll update the guide the next chance I have but I've got a rather busy schedule for the next few weeks so please be patient if I don't jump on it right away
If you DO test with DiscEX it would probably be a good idea to add it to the "Notes" section on the Devolution compatibility wiki for those individual games that do work.
Also a note about r196, it seems that the F-Zero GX -> AX setting uses an old & outdated version of the AX codeset.
Will do, I have more than 20 games to test but I'll add those results to the wiki and link the compatibility wiki in the guide soon as I get a chance
Finally got things working! It was the problem with the 1.5 tb seagate hard drive so i switched to a western digital 500gb hard drive. Running Devolution r196 and all games seem to be working except "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," but that's already know to not be not working.
I just have a quick question about extracting saves from my memory card. Is there a way I can extract a save from each game individually instead of as a whole?
EDIT: SNES_Master, there's not really much point to add a note on the Devolution wiki for games that don't work with DiscEX since those games that DO work with DiscEX are the exception and it's not something that's officially supported anyway.

Yes, but you'd need to create a blank emulated memory card in raw format in order to inject the individual saves into it. It's much easier just to do the full card but I am working on a section of the guide which will tell how to import saves 1 by 1 onto a 16mb EmuCard.Originally Posted by graylow
Edit: I should clarify, I may have worded that poorly. you can extract the save file from just one game rather than all games from the entire card. When you extract a single game save it will be extracted in .gci format. You can then take this gci file and inject it into a blank raw card using Dolphin (or possibly other means). As I stated though, it's simpler just to extract the full card...I'm not sure why anyone would even want to use EmuMemory for just 1 game.
