Ah, that's a pain. My hard drive is too small to try putting the same ISO in 2 places. Would have to use different game saves too since I am using the emulated memory card feature.

May I ask why you'd want to use a game in Dios Mios if it already runs in Devolution? If it's for the widescreen hack, Devolution actually supports it but currently only Wiiflow has the option to enable it.

Just to try it out. It seems like too much trouble though.

Well, consider that Dios Mios requires installing hacks and crap that AFAIK can only be removed via a NAND backup made before installing said hacks...

What is this widescreen hack anyway?

My games go in to progressive scan mode...isn't that widescreen? I don't get black bars. My Wii is set to output widescreen and my TV is set to stretch the picture to make it look normal. Are Gamecube games simply getting stretched?

Most GameCube games are indeed getting stretched. A few games, such as F-Zero GX, have an in-game option for widescreen, but AFAIK the majority lack this option.

The widescreen hack forces the game to render in widescreen, and for the most part works fine. Some 2D images may be stretched however, but the alternative would cause some issues.

Not entirely true, you can fully remove DM simply by reinstalling the official MIOS file.

And I don't know where the heck such a thing is even available, considering it comes stock with the system. It's not like IOS 58 which is actually put out by Nintendo for download and therefore can be installed separately.

There are a few around the net. I found this (scroll down a long way), but I haven't tested them so I can't confirm if they're safe or not.

EDIT: There is also Wii Gator's MIOS, but I'm not entirely sure what that is. Anybody know?

Easiest place to get it is from ModMii or NUS Downloader.
