Not sure if I should post this here or start a separate thread, so if you want me to move this please let me know.

I've followed the tutorial line by line (or so I think so) and I can't get USB Loader GX to recognize any GC games. Granted I only have one, Super Mario Sunshine, but I used the DiscEx.exe to create the proper files and put them in the "games" folder on my USB device. I even used the modified boot.dol to change the DML version to 2.2+. Still, the GC game just doesn't show up in the menu. The wii games work flawlessly, no issues.

If you need any more info from me, just ask and I'll try to be as detailed as possible. Thanks in advance.

Only if you want all of your updated System Menu channels to show in your emulated nand. The guide is here to help you to make an all in one location for everything on your Wii.

There should be a console icon in the top bar in USB Loader GX. Click it and make sure Gamecube is selected.

Thanks, but I do have GC games selected. Just to check and make sure the game was installed correctly, I loaded dios mios booter and the game played with no issues. So it's something with USB Loader GX not recognizing the GC game. I must be missing a setting switch somewhere or don't have something installed correctly. I have the latest version, 3.0, and when I check the credits it says it's "+ dios mios".

Do I install Dios Mios on the HBC using emunand? Or do you just install Dio Mios using the HBC on the wii that I already installed on the wii?

Try deletting everything in the /apps/usbloader_gx folder except for the boot.dol, icon.png and meta.xml. You will have to re-download you covers and re-apply any settings but this is the easiest way to troubleshoot.

You do not install Dios Mios to emunand. It has to be installed on the native nand.

False alarm, I'm an idiot. I didn't change the custom path setting to point to the USB device. It was still pointing to the SD card. Thanks for the help though!

I just followed the guide until the "Final Setup Measures" part, but I can't get Wad Manager or Multi-Mod Manager to run. When I set the HBC to read data from USB instead of SD, nothing is shown...

    1) Do these managers need to be on SD or USB? How should the file structure be?

    2) Do I need the SD card at all at this point? If yes, what files should be in it?

You can run the apps from either USB or SD, it doesn't matter. You should check and make sure the apps folder is on the root of the drive and not in another folder. The guide shows you exactly how your file structure should be.
