I think they said v9 will not get a final release as they're now focusing on v10.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Yeah, what SNES said is my recollection of it as well. The thing is, I have seen v9 and v10 break hdd compatibility, so the only time I recommend either of those is when v8 doesn't work. Actually v6 was the most stable for regular Wii games and hdds from my experience (but no emunand support). Throw in nand emulation and v8 beats out v7. V9 fixes problems in nand emulation as well as incorporates the rodries ehci modules, which fixes the spin up issues in v8 among other things, but for a rare few kills HDD compatibility, which is why I say stick to v8 unless required. Haven't messed with v10 enough to say either way, when that was released the focus was on Wii u. Not to mention that most probs can be fixed with v8 or v9, and the scene has been dead for so long that there's no real quantifiable feedback as to different installations of v10. All I have is my 2 Wii's, Wii u, and two HDDs that flawlessly run all versions of d2x. A drive compatibility list for each version is overkill real bad, so I say stick with what we know, and if that doesn't work we can try different options.

Sorry for the long winded post. Lol.

Ok, thanks so much. I'll work on that guide tonight. However, not to be pushy, but I still need to solve how to fix my wrong homebrew problem. I don't want to make any changes with advice first....Thanks again guys.
@cjizzle-what do you mean the scene is dead? Is wii modding not as popular as it used to be? Why not if so?

    @Johnny:

Um, he offered his advice to fix your problem --- did you miss it? To recap:

I suggest you install d2x v9, link to the guide is below in my sig. Give that a shot and let us know how it works!

I haven't experienced any problems with 1.1.2 on the Wii personally. Certainly not trying to dispute my fellow staff's recommendations, perhaps they have seen something that I have not. My thoughts are to go with d2x v9 and see what happens with your existing setup. From my understanding, all of the recent releases of the usb loaders know how to handle 1.1.2 so it should be a non issue (emphasize "should").

Regarding your other question, we are talking 7 years since the Wii was introduced. I would have to say that we have pretty much learned almost all there is to know about the thing. From my experience anyways, I believe that our guides are so good now (from trial and error, and looking at everyone's questions and incorporating those into descriptions in the guides themselves), that it is extremely rare that people have problems. I think the driving force of anyone involved with hacking the Wii was solving problems. Now most of the problems have been solved, minus a few here and there. In fact most of the posters we see here now are frikkin idiots who dont know how to follow instructions. Look back at the past 6 months worth of posts on this site and the end solution for 99% of people was to follow our Softmod ANY Wii guide and/or our Dios Mios Guide. The point is that doing those two things have resulted in success for so many people, so there is no need for them to post any questions, and therefore we dont really get much feedback (aka it seems dead around here at times). I guess its kinda crappy in a way, because all of us staff love helping people, but we've made the guides so good that most dont need help. We are putting ourselves out of a job...lol.

And there I go, fitting the mold of an idiot. I apologize kind sirs. I was thinking that the d2x v9 solved the hard drive not connecting problem, not the wrong homebrew version. I'll work on that tonight and post back. Thanks again, you guys are great!
@cjizzle-I understand. I thought you meant people werent into playing with modded wiis anymore. I see how it's dead from your end...my girlfriend and daughter play mine all the time! Have a good one. Thanks for you contributions.

Hahaha! Nah man you had a legitimate problem. D2x v8 did cause some compatibility issues. I hope v9 fixes it for you! From my experience one or the other will work. Let us know!

As for your HBC version thing, sounds like you might have two versions installed. 1.1.0 and 1.1.2.

If you can find the 1.1.2 installer, run it and use it to uninstall HBC, then re-mod your system with 1.1.0 HBC if it still exists or letterbomb/bannerbomb to reinstall 1.1.0, then that should make syscheck happy.

Ok...so d2x ver 9 fixed the hdd issue on wii number 1 (i'm actually doing 2 right now, mine and my buddys), so I'm pretty confident it will fix the other. So, do you mind if I ask an off topic question relating to a graphical error on 2 emulators?
The 1.1.2 installer is booted using games, from what I can tell, none of which I have. So unless there is another way to remove the 1.1.2 version, I guess I'll just stick with it so long as it doesn't cause problems.

Ok....d2x ver 9 fixed all problems I'm not worried about the wrong homebrew since there is no simple way to remove it and it's not messing with anything. Started a new thread in the emulators section about the off topic question. Thanks for all your help!

I am having problems with the super smash bro brawl game. When I start the game up, it tells me that I am not able to make a save file due to lack or blocks free, but I checked my wii data and I have over 1500 blocks free, so I went and deleted most of my history and files to free up more blocks than I refollowed the tutorial and tried search but am not able to figure out how to resolve this issue.

I am currently using usb loader 3, and dios mios 2.10 r1217

Did any one else experience this issue with the "super smash bro brawl" game?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
