I followed the Softmod Any Wii guide to re-softmod my wii and followed this thread to set the emulated nand both sucessfully (THANKS!) with the only difference that I'm using an SD card for now as my fat32 partition is unstable because I dropped my USB HD.

    My questions are:

    1) Is there a way to "clean" my backuped Nand (the one that I will use for the emunand) because it's annoying and unnecessary to see the Nintendo Channels on it?

2)What's the actual purpose of the Nand Emulation options? The guide only says to set them to full but gives no explanation of what those options do.

3)Probably related to the previous question, Can I use the emulated Nand only for my Wiiware games but keep the game saves (preferable only the disc games and backup discs) on the real nand?

    Thanks for the awesome guide

Do I need to go through the nand extraction process or can I just use the "dump nand to emunand" option in usb loader gx?

You could go either way but I've ran into inconsistencies with USB Loader GX method.

Such as? I've already attempted it that way and many wiiware titles don't work, but I also installed them to the sd when I wanted them on my usb drive.

Do you know how I would go about installing Wiiware to my usb drive rather than the sd? Also, do you know how I can batch delete all the wiiware that I installed accidentally to the sd?

Inconsistencies like not correctly transferring titles/channels. Emulation of WiiWare is hit or miss no matter which method you use. You're better off just using real nand to launch your WiiWare.

I have far too many wiiware games that I wish to play for real nand to be practical. Besides, I must doing something wrong when pretty much 80% of the most high-profile wiiware don't work while all the second-rate ones do.

I told you it was hit or miss. You can try leading them on real nand then launching once and then in GX extract the nand to emu nand. If it still doesn't work then it won't work at all. You can load WiiWare onto the SD card using real nand and launch it from the SD once to make it available in GX.

That's interesting. I actually had my wiiware library installed on a 16gb sd card, but I never noticed any of them showing up in gx. Can you explain how that works?

All you have to do is transfer the WiiWare to the SD card under real nand. Then, while still in real nand, launch the game/games from the SD card. Launch GX and make sure you have it set to show the real nand and your WiiWare on your SD card should be there.

Man would I love to load my GC games via usb but can't make this work. When launching I'm prompted to copy to SD? If I allow that the wii crashes and reboots when running wind waker. Got the latest usbloadergx and just finished a full refresh of my soft mod. Settings are per this guide. Any ideas? thx
