It's really noticeable on the Forbidden fortress where you're constantly going between inside and outside, taking about ten or eleven seconds to load the next scene. It's not a major problem, just long enough to be annoying and doesn't happen when playing from disk.
I'm currently using a Sandisk 32gb cruzer drive, running Dios Mios 2.4 with USB loader gx. I did the entire hack a couple of weeks so everything's up to date. I'm going to re-rip the game to see if there's a problem there but would also like to try loading from the sd card to see if it's any quicker.
To change to DM(L), do I just need to install the DM(L) wad over the current one using wad manager and then move my games folder to the sd card or do I need to start over?
    Thanks.
I have no slow loading with that game on my system using a USB hard drive.

Thanks very much for checking. I've got seven other wii and gamecube games on there and they all work perfectly so maybe it's my rip. I'll do it again and see what happens.

    Hi

When in USB loader Gx I see that you have an option to load homebrew apps. But right now it only shows the apps that I have stored on my SD card. Is there a way to have it show the apps that are stored on my USB hardrive?
If they cut this pie in two I'd still give both halves to you.

I believe it can only show apps from one source at a time. You should be able to change it in settings under Custom Paths (I can't check right now I'm not home).

You are correct, thanks for the info.

About the emulated NAND, can it be setup to load/write saves on the real NAND?
also, can the saves on the emulated NAND be moved to the real one?

    1) As far as I know, it is not possible. I do think you can do the opposite.

    2) You can use Savegame Manager GX to do this but the save file has to exist on the real nand prior to doing the transfer. Showmii might also be another option but I haven't looked into it.

Is it possible to save gsmecube saves onto USB without an emulated nand? What is Devolution all about?

I have read the guide a couple of times and getting ready to get it done. Looks just fantastic in the demo, thnx Pob 3008!

So, before getting on with it, and probably more questions, one thing comes to mind. I currently have usbloader gx on my sd card and it shows up as a channel when i start up my wii. In the guide it seems like usbloader gx is installed on the usb drive(?). So, if this is the case will I still keep my sd card with the loaders on it or will it screw things up? The guide says that I should start up usbloader gx from HBC, will I have to go into HBC everytime to launch usbloader gx or? thnx!!

It all depends on the channel, easy way is to try it and report back
