    Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Oh, I actually don't have Mega Man X Collection but I have played it and it's great so listed it anyway.
Looks like a pretty good list of games, can't wait to try them, can't say I've ever heard of or seen DBZ Sagas before though, didn't know that game even existed.

Also, I think that it should be stated in the guide that you DO require the disc drive to be connected to your Wii, it doesn't have to function, just has to be connected to it,
I'm sure someone else will have the same issue I had.

Well then, I believe I shall be going to my local Gamestop.

Your guides are very nice and are easy to follow.

Having said that, there is a problem that I am having at the moment.

I have used the guide “Softmod ANY Wii v12 7/24/2012” and everything was ok!

Then I used this guide and I excluded the Chapter 2 and 5.

I used the Wii Backup Manager to install to my compatible (I checked it for compatibility) external HDD two games and then I tested if they played. Smashing! Both worked.

So, I had a few games both original and copies (previously I had my Wii Hardmoded few years ago) and I decided to install them in my HDD as per the instruction in the guide “Copying your original discs to your hard drive with your usb loader”

So, at the 5th game (a copy) the USB Loader GX crashed giving me an “Exception (DSI) occurred” etc etc and finally saying that “reloading in 20 sec”. This error occurred at the end of the installation of the game. Now, every time that I am trying to load the USB Loader GX the same loop happens. Keeps crashing and back at the beginning…

So, any thoughts. Should I post any further info about it?

I have run a system check… here it is:

    Spoiler

    Any help would be appreciated.

Any time the USB Loader app crash you just have to replace the USB Loader app folder and replace the 5th game folder if the game is not working.
Or you could replace the boot.dol in your SD /apps/ usbloader_gx with the new or updated boot.dol

It's also possible that 5th game may have become corrupt and upon trying to load it your HDD corrupted as well. Copied games have done this to me which is why I will only use my official discs for ripping/installing purposes from now on. I have resurfaced all my troublesome games and I don't trust burned backups anymore.

My advice is to first try re-downloading the latest USB Loader GX and try re-ripping then re-installing the problem game and see if it happens again. If so you may have to reformat or at least defragment your HDD.

I actually had an issue similar to this today, the game just wouldn't work. I figured it was a bad rip, so I re-ripped and re-installed the game, no errors after that .

OK now. This is irritating! After just 3-4 hours I have 3 replies to my problem!

I am going to replace the boot.dol and see if that works. I will take it from there and see what happens. I will try this probably tomorrow as I do not have free time today.

I just logged in to say thank you for your prompt answers!

    Reporting back for duty!

I replaced the boot.dol file and again the same problem. So, I got a little bit angry about it and I deleted completely the game that got the error in the first place.

Yap, that was it. That fixed the problem.

Thank you again all of you that replied.

Ah, well glad to hear It's working for you.
Just out of curiosity, what game was causing the problem ?

    Ca

    question,
so i followed this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended...der-gx-including-dios-mios-emulated-nand.html

can install to the emulated nand and such but usbloader gx (although it see' my ntfs hardrive and knows its size) cant see the wii games on my harddrive.

so although it's nice and fancy and i can run games installed on the emulated nand it serves no purpose as it wont load the games on there.

wiiflow version: r348 though CAN see the ntfs harddrive and games but i dont like the gui plus it cant see the emunand games/apps.

so is there anyway to get usbloader gx to recognize my games on the harddrive ? as i prefer its gui over wiiflow.

    usbloader gx version : 3.0 r1180

also the game on the harddrive is setup as 2 folders as this was just a test and i didnt know which way would work so i did this:
1st folder)made a "games" folder and put the folders/files that "DiscEx" created in that (monster hunter).
2nd folder)made a "wbfs" folder and put the file that "wii game manager" created in that (again monster hunter)

summary: usbloader gx wont see my wii games on my ntfs harddrive that wiiflow will. how can i fix this captain ?

P.S. would prefer not to format my hdd since it has PC related stuff on it.

Well, it was something with "Play something" and because I could not recall the name I deleted 3 games... unfortunately I had ripped many games and the disk mixed up with the rest.

I am sure that it was a bad rip.

Now that I am thinking of it, there is a way to verify that a game is of good quality before I copy it to my HDD; You know, somehow to verify that "this iso" is ok and I will not have a problem again of that type.

I was wondering about that actually, how would you check to see if it was a good rip ?
