(I ONLY RECOMMEND ACRONIS BECAUSE NO DATA LOSS) If you use any other HDD program you will have to backup everything before you change the cluster size. You do not need a disc in it for it to work , also the NoDisc setting should be OFF.
I know my HDD is using a 32KB cluster size, so no issue there, and why should it be off ? Does it decide whether to use NoDisc or not by checking the Disc drive now ?

NoDisk and NoDisk+ are obsolete now, they do not do anything. That is why they should be left off.

Oddly enough my Spider-Man The Game requires a disc for DIOS MIOS but when I play it on Devolution it works perfect, no disc required (aside from the 1 time verification process).

Ah, alright, so does it require that the Disc drive is connected to the Wii, because the clamp that holds that one cable is missing, the drive makes a nice paperweight though.

Oh yeah, sorry. Your disc drive does need to be connected...doesn't matter if it can read discs or not, it just needs to be connected.

You only need it to read games if you can't rip your discs with your computer or if you USB load GC Games with Devolution which needs the disc preset to verify (only 1 time, after that it loads straight from USB).

Ah, well that kinda sucks, if I could reconnect the drive using something besides that clamp, I would, I already have all my games ripped thanks to a friend. If you know how to get that cable reconnected without the clamp or another way to use Dios Mios, like in UNEEK+DI mode, I'd love to know how.

I built the latest version of SNEEK/UNEEK+DI ( r195 ) which supports diosmios.bin, the readme says you put that in the SNEEK folder, and when you select a GC game from the DI list, it should start up, but for me, I lose Wiimote input, and I have to reboot the Wii.

Best I could say is ebay might have it, aside from that you can get a whole new drive for around $40-$60 which is what I'm doing.

@ candylove : I formatted it and set the cluster size to 32KB using EaseUS

@ SNES_Master : Ah, well, thanks for answering my questions, I guess I'll keep looking around. I might pick up a new drive, but not until I know it's absolutely impossible to use Dios Mios in xNEEK mode.

You can try Devolution, I'm not 100% but I think it works in xNEEK.

Wouldn't it require the original disc though ? I know it reads the games from the HDD, but I'm pretty sure it'd choke up if it tried to read it in xNEEK mode like it does when it tries to read all my other GC games, I'll put that on my list of things to try though.

Ahaha lol, I don't know what I was thinking there sorry.

Your right, I simply forgot somehow Devolution does require the disc so it would be useless for you until you get the broken disc drive taken care of.
