Also, SNES, you wouldn't even need to buy a new DVD drive if there were a virtual mounting drive that could read discs backwards. I've never seen one but it really doesn't sound that far out for it to have not been invented/implemented.

If you could find any info on that would you mind PMibg a link? From what I've read I can mount an ISO image to a virtual drive but I can't find any info about getting a virtual drive to read a physical disc.

I have 2 problems here... 1. When I use USB Loader GX, it detects my GC games, but when i click ''Launch off USB'' it loads the game in the disc drive.. Why is this?

The 2nd is that some of my downloaded gamecube isos have very slow loading times (Mario Power Tennis and Super Smash Bros. Melee) Is it normal for it to be slow? If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    1) Eject the disc in the drive, go to the settings menu in USB Loader GX and turn on the "No Disc" feature, not all games load without discs in drive but it may solve the issue of the disc loading rather than the ISO.

    2) Try re-ripping your GC discs that are running slow in ISO form, but try them without compressing them. Some games can't run compressed. You could also try changing some of the games individual settings by clicking on the game and clicking settings instead of start. If they still run slow than it's possible they just aren't compatible at this time.

Thanks for the reply, I downloaded the new USB gx loader and got it working, but SSBM is still slow. Is DiscEx a compressor? because that's the only modification I made to the iso.

It offers the option of compressing, when asked if you want to or not just tell it no, then try the new ISO it makes.

    Hi everybody.
I softmoded my wii a couple of month ago with
    "Sticky: Guide: Softmod ANY Wii".

Now I would like to use MD 2.0 for the game cube.

Is it safe to do it or it may ruin my softmod?
    Thanks

    totally lost

For USB Loader GX, go into settings>custom paths, and change the path from SD to USB1:/games/; and in settings>Hard Drive Settings, change USB Port to the port it is in (0 or 1) and set Multiple Partitions to ON or OFF

what version are you using? im updated to the latest beta for GC support, and im not seeing any of this in my settings.

Those options are available in USB Loader GX 3.0 r1193 and up, if you do not have r1193 or higher, get it.

Jake, BMANN2 had a similar problem. But I really think it's USB incompatibility or you are using the wrong version of USB Loader GX.
