It must be my hard drive . So im going to save my games then reformat it to a single partition but will my wii games run off fat32 32 clusters. Also is it possible to change from 64 clusters to 32 without losing data to save time formatting and adding my games again .hope this has edited my last post im writing it off a mobile

think ive tried everything. soft modded my wii using the guide again and all ios updates, changed my usb to fat 32 32kb. downloaded the latest dios mois (the top one on the website) tried the ios 249 gx loader, added the gamecube games using dm toobox with optimised 32 kb . im out of ideas .
my usb is a wd passport 232gb which works fine with my wii games .

edit dois mois works fine tried it with another harddrive I borrowed it was my usb hard drive that was the problem. its on the usb compatibility list that work with gamecube games. maybe doesn't work with version 2.10 . can it be checked with others who have a wd passport 232gb and deleted from the list

Jesus, has it been that long? Sorry for bumping my question then failing to come get the answer...

I'm actually on Linux (UbuntuStudio 13.10, to be specific), and since I got some trouble running DMToolbox (probably because I'm a tool) and gcit worked great, I stuck with that. I just dump the games to ISO then use gcit to extract them to GCReEx.
Is your hard drive set up for FAT32 with 32k clusters?
Yup. It's the same one I was using before I converted all my games from ISO to GCReEx, and I was kinda hoping I wouldn't need to dump all my games again just because one of them isn't working anymore.

Edit: what I find weird about it is that all games worked as ISOs, then Zelda Master Quest stopped working as GCReEx (should have paid more attention to the compatibility list...) but the others still work, and now a fresh ISO dump won't even show in GX.

Have you checked to make sure your USB GX is up to date? Have you made sure to enable it to display GCN games? You can do this by clicking the (I believe) 2nd box from the right (at the top of the screen), then on the list check GameCube.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Don't post the same question in multiple places. You are getting "help" in the devolution thread, which I moved the relevant posts to its own thread in the Wii Newbie section. Let's keep all conversation to the one topic.

credair has a new gamecube loading project: nintendont.

works flawlessly for usb loading gamecube games and SD card loading them as well. im curious how this program compares... since credair seems to be pretty active on nintendont. it just hit 1.0 and has been so for only a few weeks, not even a month.

    " You may install it with d2x v8 base 56, or IOS236 base 36."
I don't exactly understand this. When I go to install the wad, the option lists IOS236, but not base 36.

I'm having trouble installing the dios-mios wad

    i have 4 different versions.

    dios mios lite sneek di
    dios mios xneek di
    dios mios lite 2.10
    dios mios 2.10

Don't link outside guides. Anyway, the problem is you used a YouTube guide. You never know what you're going to get with one of those. You should try again using this guide this time (this guide being the one you're posting in).

What happens when you load IOS 236 and try to install one of the Dios Mios wads?

It installs as far as I'm concerned, but then after I go back to the main menu, the channel doesn't appear

There is no channel for Dios Mios, it replaces the stock MIOS, which enabled the Wii to play retail NGC games. Depending on which Dios Mios you install will determine what device it looks for. Dios Mios 2.10 is for USB, Dios Mios Lite 2.10 is for SD, and the other two are for emuNANDs, or emulated firmwares.
