That's great, renaming it works with DIOS MIOS. You do not need the sys folder
Yes you will have some compatibility issues with Dios Mios, it does not do yet:

    • Allow use of the Nintendo GameCube Microphone
    • Play backups from writable DVD media
    • Play audio via disc audio streaming

Do those shortcuts work with a Wavebird?

I could not get reboot and shutdown shortcuts to work when running with USB loader GX

Maybe the PAD HOOK is set to OFF by default, set it to ON or use global for the shortcuts to work. And how to rip GC games with GX is in the guide

What are you still confused about? If you installed Dios Mios backup discs will not work, you have to load backups from USB. That is what this guide is for.

To load backup discs you need the cMios, the softmod guide gives you this and there is a link in this guide too I beleive. Only older Wii's will read these discs and you can launch them with Neogamma.

These things overwrite each other, you can't have them both at the same time.

    ......

Yeah I didn't know what the PAD Hook setting was for, I will give that a try. I guess I didn't read the guide too well...I will have to check the Gx setting for ripping too. I just did a quick trial before I left for work with out looking up these details...

But now i have problem with launching back up GC disks.
games on sd car via Dios Mios 2.5 lite via Usb Loader GX.

Each time i load a GC disk it says "al error app_entry is not within the apploader".
Is that how it suppose to work?
Back up GC disc will not work with DIOS MIOS, if you are trying to load GC backups iso from USB HDD and get that error

    • Your loader is using an incorrect config version
    • You installed DIOS MIOS and are trying to load a game from SD card
    • You installed DIOS MIOS Lite and are trying to load a game from an USB device
    • Verify that your HDD is using 32KB cluster size or less, this error can happen with 64KB cluster size

    Update your USB Loader:
USB Loader GX: r1205, r1207, r1209, r1213 (check the credits in the loader's options. It should say at the top left DM 2.9+)
    WiiFlow: v4.1
    CFGLoader: cfg70MODr51
    Everything is in the guide

Depends what you do. If you install Dios Mios it should be functional and it sounded like you said it was. Really that's all you should be asking in this guide and you have been told repeatedly you won't be able to load backup discs with Dios Mios, only USB loading.

    Let's put it this way.

Pick one: SD, USB, backup media.

Can only do one. Based on what you want to do will determine what you install.
