For out of region GC games you could force video to your region some out of region GC games may not work with GX, delete the CFG files for GX and the config folder for GX, you could also try WiiFlow: v4.1 or CFGLoader: cfg70MODr51 for out of region GC games.
Re-install the DIOS MIOS wad file with Wad Manager 1.7 with IOS236 and see if that gets rid of the black screen.
    This is from the guide:
Losing Ability to Play Retail Discs
You may have lost your ability to play retail discs because of DIOS MIOS. If you have, the first thing you should try is updating your wad to update 5 or higher. (Simply re-install the newer dios mios wad with wad manager). Either way, you should always have the newest version.
To allow you to play retail GameCube Games again:
    Re-install original mIOS file:

    • Download MIOS v10 and install it using Wad Manager and you're done.

If you re-install miosv10 it will remove/replace DIOS MIOS.

    This is from the guide:

    1. It will install a folder called something like GMPP01 (PAL Mario Party 4). The .iso file within will be named game.iso, as it should be.
    2. If your game has two disks like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, you will need to install the other disc the same way you did the first. Except rename the second disc from "game.iso" to "disc2.iso", then cut and paste it into the original folder with the first "game.iso". Do the same if it has more than 2 discs, naming it disc3.iso etc. (Does the Gamecube HAVE games that need more than 2 discs?) The second disc loads automatically.

With the latest Dios Mios you do not need a game in the wii and it does not break gamecube support or the ability to play Gamecube disc, if you have any issues you could reinstall the regular MIOS.
I do not know how to get existing saves to work in NMM because I do not use Devolution, SNES_Master may help you with that question
Awesome, thanks for the info. I was hoping I didn't have to mess with that extra step in order to try out Dios Mios (and that they could use the same isos as devolution). Does the folder for the game id have to be correct for it to work? Like GMPP01 (PAL Mario Party 4), if that folder was named MP4 or something would Dios Mios refuse to run it?

The folder doesn't have to match, but the name of the .iso file has to be specific.

Another way to do this conversion is to use GX to rip the game the same way that you'd rip a Wii game. Just tell it to install it into the GC directory and it should work just fine. The directory will have a more verbose name than just the game ID.

Hi. I remodded my Wii with the "Softmodding any wii" and installed DIOS MIOS 2.10.
Everything works for USB Wii and GC games.

But now i have problem with launching back up GC disks.
games on sd car via Dios Mios 2.5 lite via Usb Loader GX.

Each time i load a GC disk it says "al error app_entry is not within the apploader".
Is that how it suppose to work?

I don't think you're supposed to have DM and DML on the same Wii. Since DM is working correctly and DML is not ---why are you posting in the DM thread instead of the DML one?

I am a little confused here.
All I installed was the DM 2.10.
I had nothing to do with the DML.
But does the DM does not allow to use disk back ups?

If you're trying to use disk backups, then you'll want to install the base MIOS v10 (linked in the DM thread) and use a disk loader such as neogamma. There is likely another guide for that somewhere on the site if you search for it.

Dios Mios is for USB loading games, Dios Mios Lite is for SD loading games.

Dios Mios will overwrite the current MIOS/cMIOS. Retail GameCube discs will still work. If you had a cMIOS installed before to play disc backups it wont be possible anymore until you re-install the cMIOS which will overwrite DIOS MIOS.

Usually all the folders are name the correct GAMEID only and all the ISO in the folder are name game.iso
    For example:
    USB HDD/ games / D43J01 / game.iso
    G2XE8P / game.iso
    G4BP08 / disc2.iso
    game.iso
    G4OE69 / game.iso
    GL7E64 / game.iso
Naming it like this is optional : STARWARS LEGO 2 [GL7E64] / game.iso

I thought I saw something about needing a system folder? That get edited out?

It seems to work fine for me having them in USB/games/whateverName/game.iso

My devolution was already set up like this and I tried a few games and it seems to work fine.

It didn't work when I tried to rip with USBloader GX, I will have to dig in to where it put the games and why.....

It seems though, that while I can still play a retail game since it is using Dios Mios won't I have Dios Mios compatibility issues? For a game that has audio streaming or whatever else issues won't I have those problems even when playing from retail disc?
