Did you run your GameCube disk images through DMToolbox (comes with DM/DML) and install the resulting directory tree into usb:/games ?

Have you checked the md5 hash of your disk image against known md5 values for your game (google) to make sure you have a good rip?

Do you see them in GX and they just crash when you try to launch them? or are you not seeing them at all?

Yes, I ran them through DMToolbox. And they are all in usb:\games.
I have not checked the md5 hash, but I know for a fact that the games will run (If I install dios mios lite and run from SD).
The games show up in GX and when I try and launch them it "crashes" or rather just hangs immediately at a black screen.

EDIT:Went ahead and checked the md5's anyways and all of them match the known ones that I could find using google.

This may have been asked once, but how do you have your hard drive formatted? Multiple partitions? bytes per cluster?

Yes, I had that info in my first post.
Initially it had multiple partitions but the first, primary, active one was fat32 32kb.
It is now a singular partition that is fat32 with 32kb clusters.

At this point I'm just trying to go through everything that I can try to and determine if my drive is the problem.
I'll probably try and track down some other USB device and try that just to see if it still gives me the black screen or not.

EDIT: So I just tried it using a 4GIG USB drive that I got for free awhile back. Everything worked fine, booted up no problem. Which leads me to believe that my external HDD just might be incompatible.
Going to try messing with the HDD settings and give it one last shot, maybe even try to pin down exactly what the issue with it is. If it still doesn't work, I'm going to try setting everything up to use an older version of dios mios which,
according to the compatibility list, should work with the drive. I'll also end up posting on the compatibility thread to report that it doesn't work with gamecube games and dios mios 2.9 or 2.10 when I am certain this is the case.
I guess I also might as well try a wii game to make sure those are still working.

EDIT2: Just tried using Dios Mios 2.5, which according to the compatibility list, should work with my HDD, it doesn't. (And Yes, I did switch the USB Loader GX version to a DM2.5 compatible version).
Watching my HDD while trying to boot a gamecube game with any version of Dios Mios I've noticed that the light flashes as though activity is happening and then shuts of completely for a few seconds.
The HDD seems to reboot during the dios mios boot process and I have no idea why, which may mean that it is not compatible unless there is a fix for this.
Going to mess around with the settings software a little more to make sure I didn't miss something.

EDIT3: Submitted HDD as Not Working with GC games on compatibility list thread. Still Open to any ideas to attempt to make it work.

GuidingArrow: Could you do this thing for me?

I want you to run "diskpart.exe" if you have Windows. Just search for it in Start, then run it in administrator. type "list disk" and it will tell you if your disk is GPT or MBR. If there is an asterick underneath GPT, then that will explain why your disk won't work. the "list disk" command will show all of the disks connected so I suggest you plug out all the other disks just leaving your C:\ Disk and your 2TB external.

I wanted to know does the percentage amount from DMtools matter?
Or is that how much it was able free up?
Also does this work like devolution or are it's functions different?
    Is there a comparison article?

I love the WD 2TB HDD it works perfect for me and I have two partition 1st FAT32 and 2nd NTFS. One partition FAT32 HDD is better for the Wii. Did you delete the CFG files in GX app and if you have a config folder for GX delete it too check both SD card and USB HDD for the CFG files. Also try the other USB Loaders. Anytime you update GX or change DM versions or change USB HDD you should delete the CFG files for GX .
Main GameCube path USB1. Try same region games or force video to your region. And do the notepad trick again to make sure it is still FAT32 with 32kb cluster size because you reformat the HDD.
    This is in the Guide:
If you have used an older version of DIOS MIOS and upgraded it, or were using an old version of you USB Loader and have updated it, you may receive problems. This can easily be fixed by deleting your old .cfg files and old .ini files. The next time you start the loader, it will create new ones with default settings.

I've done this every time I've tried so far. Unless I some how missed some files (and I'm fairly certain I didn't).
I know that Dios Mios and USBLoader GX are working properly because I have done complete fresh installs of both and was able to boot from USB using a 3gig thumb drive.
I have checked multiple times to ensure the drive is formatted correctly and it definitely is.

Also, to be clear, is your WD 2TB HDD a My Book Essential? I know for a fact that WD has more than one type of 2TB external hard drive so it's possible we don't have the same one.
The problem appears to be caused by the automatic power settings on the HDD and they happen to be ones that I can't customize. It is set up so that it automatically powers on/off with the system it is plugged into and something about Dios Mios booting up seems to cause it to power off then back on which confuses Dios Mios. (This is not something I can change with the WD software).

    My WD HDD is
Name of HDD: My Book Essential
    Model:WDBACW0020HBK-NESN
    P/N:WDBACW0020HBK-01
    S/N:WMAZA8015601
    Size Of Drive:2TB
    USB Support:3.0+2.0
    Working With:GC/WII Games
    What Version DM:2.6
Loaders:USB Loader GX R1209, Wiiflow v4.1, CFG Loader r51, Dios Mios Booter SVN r30

1st partition 200GB FAT32, 2nd partition NTFS, One partition is better for the Wii than multiply partitions so I don't recommend changing your HDD. I will recommend trying the other USB Loaders.

I also keep my apps folder on the FAT32 USB HDD because I only use the SD card for games saves and stuff so all my USB Loader apps are only on my FAT32 USB HDD this is optional and I do not recommend it but it works for me.
