Neogamma is garbage for DML. It was good 16 months ago, but hasn't really been updated since. Which revision of USB Loader GX? "3.0" is also pretty old, there has been various beta "r" versions to enable the newer DM/DML features.

For SD card, FAT32 with 64k clusters should work (and was recommended at one time, not sure if that is still the case). For USB, 32k clusters are required.

I have links to three USB Loaders in my signature that all should work with the latest version of DM/DML.

By the way, here's a simple command for Linux users to format your USB partition with 32k clusters. Took me some time to figure this out, so I thought posting this info here might save some people that hassle. Just run this as root in a terminal:
    # mkfs.msdos -F 32 -S 512 -s 64 /dev/sdXX
Replace /dev/sdXX with your desired partition. Probably something like /dev/sdb1 There are numerous ways to find out a partition's identifier. If you're unsure, run this as root:
    # fdisk -l

Not quite sure what to say about that since I'm not a linux user. Interestingly, you can also use the Windows Command Prompt to format your USB too. I tried to do this with a 250 GB HDD, but after it took 6 hours to format, I got a message saying that Windows can only format drives less than 4GB to FAT32. What a load of bullocks! Of course, I never found out a way to fix it through windows and so used EaseUS.

I think most people who come here are Windows users (notwithstanding most everybody are in windows users), but I suppose I should append that to the guide.

I am having a problem with DM 2.10. I have my games stored on a FAT32 32kb partition of my USB drive, I have the app folder on my SD card and the wad installed to my Wii, however when I try to open a game in Wiiflow I get an error message: "area! al error app_entry is not within the apploader area".

Also, my USB drive is compatible with DM. I know this because I was able to play DM games fine before I defragmented my HDD due to slowdown problems. Defragmenting it made DM stop working, so I made a partition for it, and now here I am.

The wad I installed is "DIOSMIOS_2.10.wad".

None of that is needed for DM. You need a current version of WiiFlow (sounds like you may have an old version). You can find it in my signature.

Then you need the games installed in usb:/games/(output of DMToolbox)

I deleted the DM folder and installed the latest Wiiflow. My GC games were already in that format. Now I'm getting a different error message: "Fatal error apploader size is zero!".

Edit: Now it just shuts off when I try to launch a game. However I noticed in the top right when I have my GC games on screen it says "DML (4) [USB2]"... Dios Mios Lite? Do I have the wrong wad? Admittedly I downloaded this wad from a different site because the code.google download isn't working for me.

Sounds like that you installed DML (games are being looked for on the SD card instead of USB).

I would try the link from google code again using a different browser than what you tried before. I usually have problems downloading it from one browser, but it works fine on the next.

I downloaded and installed the code.google wad file yet it still says DML in the corner and I get the error message "Fatal error apploader size is zero!" when trying to play a game.

Double check the version of the loader app you are using. That error usually comes from using an old version of a loader.

Are you running the loader directly from HBC? or from a forwarder installed to the menu as a channel? Sometimes what you think is an old forwarder is the full app embedded in a channel, so updating it on the SD card won't update the channel, so you're still running an old version. So check the version number from within the app's about screen to do this checking.

Post a syscheck as well, see if something jumps out at me from that.

Double checked in the about window and the WF version is 4.1.3 (newest). I've been running it from HBC.

    SysCheck: http://syscheck.softwii.de/rD6FvL5g

Edit: Just realized my HBC is 1.1.0 while the current version is 1.1.2. Could this be a factor? Hackmii isn't down at the moment so I can't download 1.1.2. If this is the reason it's not working, would downloading a forwarder make a difference?
