Now that im thinking about it, could my hdd be the problem? It's not an actual external hdd, it a 2.5 HDD that im using with and external USB case/adapter. It works perfectly with Wii games, but could that be causing troubles with Dios Mios? I don't seem to find a utility on WD website to disable sleep mode (at least for my specific HDD)
I was trying with Dios Mios 2.6, and the only improvement is that i get the Dios Mios screen every single time, instead of getting only a black screen. Im going to try with Dios Mios 2.2 now.

You can always find another small hard drive lying around or a thumb drive just to try it out to see if it maks a difference. But it is possible that the enclosure used isn't compatible with Wii's GameCube use.

I did not suggest this because I do not know if your 2.5 HDD table is GPT and you would have to back up all data before you convert it to MBR.
If the drive partition table is GPT and not MBR it will not work with DIOS MIOS.
Google how to convert GPT into MBR
    http://www.sevenforu...k-mbr-disk.html
Convert GPT disk to MBR disk with free partition manager, Windows Disk Management and Diskpart command.

And finally the problem is solved, what was causing my wii to turn off after booting a game was the HDD. Now i tried with and old IDE 80gb Hitachi Deskstar using and external case/adapter, and it works like a charm, it seems the problem was that the Western Digital HDD I was using enters in sleep mode by itself, and this seems to be a common problem with WD HDD's, specially 2,5 disks. So, if anyone is having this issue, try with another HDD.
HUGE THANKS to both llafer and candylove!, without all your help i couldn't have done it

EDIT: about MBR or GPT, the drive partition table was MBR.

I am going to give this a whirl, but I see 2 questions

    1. Looks like v2.9 will not be an issue for this install (since the guide says 2.8, and there are no complaints) Am I correct to select "DIOS MIOS 2.9 real NAND with DMToolbox (+source)" ?
    2. I am going with USB Loader GX 3.0, and there are multiple downloads for this too. Will this one work? USBLoaderGX_v3.0_IOS249.dol or should I go with the all in one packages?

    Thanks again

    JK

Yes on the version of DM.

No on the version of GX.

I have the correct version that you should use in my signature.

    uggg...

    this is frustrating

I cannot get DMToolbox to work.

I have downloaded DIOS MIOS 2.9 real NAND with DMToolbox, but upon unzipping (WinRAR or 7zip), it states the DMToolbox file is curropted

I have tried downloading just the DMToolbox itself, but the app will not run as it says it missing libeay32.dll.

So I download that missing dll and copied it into my C:\Windows\System32 - still fails
I tried it also in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (as someone suggested) - still fails

And the site only lets you download 1 time per hour, and that is a total pain for troubleshooting corrupted downloads....

I am on Win7 64bit, and have no idea if I am missing something simple, or having incredible bad luck...

    ideas?

    Thanks
    JK

Do not use the DMToolbox by itself you could put it in the DM folder that has the libeay32.dill, use the one that came with DIOS MIOS 2.9 real NAND with DMToolbox. Also keep it in the DM folder when you open DMToolbox if you remove it from the DM folder without the libeay32.dill it will not work. If you want to remove DMToolbox from the DM folder and put it on your desktop you will have to put the libeay32.dill on your desktop also for it to work.
This is only with the latest DMToolbox the older ones works by itself
All DMToolbox with DM 2.6 and before works by itself the DMToolbox attached works by itself because it came with DM 2.6

Thanks for the download, it works and I now have copied over my GB ISO's to my USB drive.

    new issue....

I cannot view any of my games (Wii or GB) per USB loader now, and honestly I am lost...

    USB device supported
    FAT32 partition / 32k sectors - confirmed

I have add a syscheck log here in hopes someone can point me in the right direction

    Spoiler

    I appreciate the help

Remove the CFG files in the USB Loader apps 1st and see if it gets rid of the issues. In GX on top click loader mode, check GC Games and Wii games. And in wiiflow click the home button and reload cache. Try the other USB Loaders also. The USB Loader apps should have a boot.dol, icon, meta file in it.
    USB Loader GX: r1209
    WiiFlow: v4.1
    CFGLoader: cfg70MODr51

Updated USB Loaders also needs updated cIOS I recommend d2x v8 wads
d2x cIOS Installation Guide - Original Wii consoles ONLY

    Spoiler

You could do what llaffer said and that will update all your cIOS. You choose which one you want to update your cIOS with, the d2x cIOS installation or the ModPack.zip. I recommend the ModPack.zip because you get more cIOS.
