Never mind. I downgraded DIOS MIOS to 2.4 and that seemed to do the trick.
Not sure why that would work.

Sorry my bad. And I just found out that 2.4 works better but is not completely working. Like you mentioned though, it does seem a bit odd.

Anytime you change DM versions or GX versions, sometimes removing the CFG file in the GX app gets rid of the issues. Also did you use Wad Manager 1.7 to install DM with IOS236?

Turns out my hard drive was incompatible with DIOS MIOS (Seagate 2TB expansion desktop), I managed to get the games working with an 8GB Sandisk usb stick I found lying around. I guess it pays to test different drives
Verify your Seagate 2TB is FAT32 with 32KB cluster size.
With larger HDD, most HDD programs always set it to FAT32 with 64KB cluster size and the 8GB Sandisk will be 32KB cluster or less, use Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced : right click your disk/change cluster size/current cluster size: I use Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced on three HDD to change it from 64KB to 32KB and I did not lose any data. (I ONLY RECOMMEND ACRONIS BECAUSE NO DATA LOSS)

There are a few CFG files in the GX app folder. Which one did you mean? And no, I used IOS249 to install it.

They are all automatically generated, just remove the GXGlobal CFG File, I usually remove all. IOS236 is recommended to install DM with.

Also note that downloads can become corrupt. I think it was 2.2 that I downloaded and installed 4 times before all the games worked as they should. Pays to do a md5 check.

Does that mean I would have to remove them every time before I play a game? I also noticed that it sometimes also works whenever I change the disc in the Wii or reinstall DM.

You should only have to delete the .cfg files when updating to a new version of GX. Once you get your defaults set up, things should work well for all other games.

Are you having any issues with your disc drive? Because DM 2.3+ will have issues if your disc drive cannot be verify for every GC game. I always recommend DIOS MIOS v2.2 update 2 for anyone who have disc drive issues because you could put NODISC to ON and it will not verify the disc drive. If you have no disc drive issues then the latest DM 2.8 should work fine.
I'm still using DM 2.6 with no issues so I did not update to DM 2.8 yet.

Where can I find DIOS MIOS v2.2 update 2? I tried installing just v2.2 and applying the setting you mentioned but it told me the setting would be ignored unless it was update 2.
