I don't think Blucidity installed it to cIOS236. He means that he installed it using 236.

    That sounds more plausible. Apologies.

At the bottom of the WAD Manager, where it asks what IOS to use, I had ios236 selected...though I originally had it installed to ios249 and uninstalled it from there later.

As was mentioned earlier, you are not installing it to those cIOS slots. You are using those slots to run your Wad Manager. Sounds like you have bad a rip. I would say to rip the games again using clean rip and prepping them with DMToolbox 32k aligned with no compression or rip them with USB Loader GX 32k aligned with no compression.

I'll try ripping Wind Waker with USB Loader GX and get back to you.

If you uninstalled it using iso 249 later that means its not on your Wii.

Dios Mios is a mios of its own. It's its own ios that overwrites the gamecube ios, so if you install it, then uninstall it using a different ios like 249 you are removing it from your wii still.

It's true that I don't quite understand how the IOSs work, but I know that I uninstalled it from 249 before installing it to 236. So yes, it's on there. I know it is because I can boot the GC games and the DIOS MIOS logo appears, but then they freeze during the gameplay.

if it starts and hangs later, sounds like either an incompatible game or a bad dump.

I originally got Wind Waker as an ISO from an emulator website. I borrowed the disc from a friend, though, so I'll try ripping it from there and seeing if I can recreate the problem. Sure would be easier with Soul Calibur II, though...that one crashes at the same time every attempt.

We don't support piracy. You'd know that if you read the rules that you accepted last night
