[QUOTE=candylove;684712]Do not uninstall DM, just re-install it with Wad Manager 1.7 use IOS236, (I recommend Wad Manader 1.7 )

I did all that, and used what the guide said about the controller. It's not being recognized when in gamecube mode period.

I played with installing GameCube games directly from the USB Loaders like we do with Wii games.

For 2 out of the 3, it worked:

CFG - The game launched after installing it, but I don't know where it installed too. I checked after the install, and I couldn't find the files. So not sure where the files were placed.

GX - The game installed in usb:\games as expected. It did use a longer directory name than DMToolbox uses, with only game.iso (full 1:1 dump) in the directory.

WiiFlow - I couldn't figure out how to install games. So I didn't test this one.

So this looks like it could be the "recommended method" of installing GameCube games for DM/DML the same as ripping games off of disk is recommended for normal USB Loading.

I believe that you simply install it like a Wii game, only with a GC disk in the slot instead. If that's not it, I'm sure the info is somewhere on the WiiFlowiki.

Right. I couldn't figure out how to install Wii games through WiiFlow, either. i'll check that wiki.

    EDIT: I found this:

    With WiiFlow.
WiiFlow comes with a built in GameCube Dumper which will handle the conversion for you. You may need to change WiiFlows DML partition to SD or USB before using it. Go into GameCube coverflow and enter global settings to change the partition if necessary.

    1.Start WiiFlow.
2.Go to global config page 2 and select install.
But I don't see that as an option when I go to page 2 in mine. This may have been moved for 4.1?

I've installed Wii games via Wiiflow before, but I don't think I have any more gamecube games that are compatible with DM for me to rip with it. I'll give it a go.

I think so. Let me go check.

EDIT: Hit the Home button. It's the top button in the left column.

I tried to rip the disk using WiiFlow. It gets to 9% and freezes. I had the game install in full using GX and CFG.

I'll probably test it out with the one GC game I have later. I'll report my findings here (and if I have problems, bring it up on #wiiflow). Thanks for testing.

I was using GX versions r1205, r1207 and r1208. All of them seem to end up with the same results.

I have, multiple times just to see if one of the versions turned out differently. No dice. Also I just load GX from HBC..

    Update

First of all, i'd like to thank everyone and the coders (or whatever you call them wad creators) for creating such wonderful apps.

i've been reading this thread for 3 days now, gathering information on how to use DM v2.6 to play gamecube back ups via usb or hdd but now i'm at a loss here. need desperate help into make gc games load.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Problem: Black Screen
Gamecube Game: Resident Evil GC Remake

    What i did:

    Wii:
    1. Softmodded my wii using mauifrog's procedure (bannerbomb v2) wii sm 4.1U
    2. Downloaded DM v2.6 and USB Loader GX r1207 and r1204 and DM Booter r30
    3. Installed IOS236 (Didn't join the pirate ship)
    4. Installed cIOS d2x v8 Final via Wad Manager 1.7 before installing DM v2.6

    USB Loader GX Game Settings:
    1. All DML Options turned OFF
    2. Video Settings Set to Use System Settings
    3. Selected MIOS and Default not Devolution
    4. Running Games using IOS 249

i used Disc-Ex to install the games on a thumb drive (transcend and imation) formatted to fat32 using 32k clusters (wii games work perfectly using wbfs partition)

Troubleshooting: (i want to make it work using dm booter or usb loader gx only)
    1. Reinstalled Dios Mios v2.6
    2. Tested USB Loader GX using default and DML turned off options
3 Tested DM Booter turning of Disc option to off

Below is my syscheck for additional information.

    TIA wiihacks!

*UPDATE* Gamecube path set to USB1, GC Region fairly sure it is (i also switched region free to enable in priiloader settings don't know if it helps) forwarder installed the latest version but i have not tried r1208.

right now i was able to make it work with DM Booter using DM v2.2 so i'm pretty sure the problem lies within usbloader gx.

i have usb gx r1200 (will try r1208 as suggested) everyone else was able to make it work with r1200 i guess i'm missing something within the settings.

tested it via forwarder channel = black screen
tested it via HBC = appsloader file size is zero etc.
