I dunno what is left to try at this point guys. Thanks everyone for all your help and suggestions I guess I look to buy a diff drive when I can afford it lol

edit: To clarify, I get the black screen OR I still get the screen flicker off component and no video output that I mentioned when I first started posting in here. I see the DM splash screen very briefly when I switch between component and video2 on the TV but thats all that happens.
When the screen blanks out, do you hear any sounds, music...anything at all? Or does the sound go out too?

Nope, no sound. Nothing at all and the usb doesn't do anything either.

You should definitely look into Devolution if you haven't already. It's possible it may be a compatibility issue with DIOS MIOS. I myself have just tried Devolution and it works great...a little confusing to get it all set up but not too bad as long as you follow the guide on GBAtemp. I've already tried 3 games that had issues on DIOS MIOS and they work wonderfully on Devolution.

How did you get it to verify the disc with Devolution? Does this mean GC disc works in your drive now? How did you fix it? I am happy for you.

I have no idea lmao. It still won't read the games for more than a couple minutes but apparently that's good enough to verify the disc. Luckily I knew someone who wanted their Wii modded so I was able to use his to rip my games. Out of sheer curiosity I decided to try Devolution, not like I had anything to lose. I loaded up the ISO for Zelda Collector's Edition, popped in the disc and, to my surprise, it verified

I'll be verifying all 20 or so games of mine and will edit with the results. I'm going to keep using DM too but Devolution is great, they both have benefits the other doesn't.

Edit: Well, all but 1 of my games verified. Odd, DIOS MIOS loads said game (only if I pop a disc in the drive), yet Devolution refuses...when I try to verify it with Devolution it flashes 3-5 times, resets the drive to try again and repeats the process till eventually it spits the disc out as if it's no the right one (which it most certainly is). Someday I hope to see DIOS MIOS and Devolution take ideas from one another, DM would greatly benefit from Audio streaming while Devolution would be nice to allow compressed ISOs.

Edit 2: Spoke too soon, all but 1 verified but DVV files are not transferrable between USB drives. So I now I must re-verify with my HDD and cannot back up the DVV files :P
Now I'm to a point where all but 6 games have verified....

This was a first party controller and he could not believe it because it used to work in the first release of DM and also DML. How did he fix it? It's funny but he loaded a retail gamecube disc, then played a few minutes. He exited and removed the retail gamecube disc and booted usb loader gx and tried the game he loaded from USB again. Controller now Works! This trick was done on 2 Wiis. He hope he don't do anything that will render the controller useless again but the question is: Why did he have to play a retail game for the controller to work in Dios Mios USB? Why does it now work thereafter? He find it very wierd. "
I personally never had any issues with GC cons.
DIOS MIOS 2.2 and new USB Loaders may have issues with old game saves and old game settings.
this is why I said this in a old post:
    "
go in your SD/apps folder/usbloader_gx and remove GXGameSettings.GFG"
because the old game settings could cause issues with new DIOS MIOS and new USB Loaders
The issue with gamecube controller not working on MIOS Dios and MD Lite is resolved by:

    1. Loading original disk in WII channel or USB Loader GX for example
    2. Playing/Starting the game to verify controller works
    3. Loading backup game from SD/USB drive

The controller then works fine from there onwards.

Would be good if there was something built into MIOS DIOS (lite) to remove this in the first place but not complaining as everything is working fine now.

So the problem is simply solved by playing a retail disc? I'll add that to the guide. Playing a retail disc is also a way to solve another problem that deals with piracy.

It's weird, I've had a number of issues with DIOS MIOS and Devolution (all related to my failing disc drive) but I've NEVER had my controller stop working...except for when the batteries died lol. Glad you found a way to solve that problem though.

Finally got to the Dios Mios 2.2.
I set up my HD and the SD.
My Wii and the GC Isos on the same HD.

And it works but only with the Wii flow.
The USB loaders (GX and CNF) do not recognize my HD.
There must be somewhere a config file that needs to be twicked?
    What am I missing here?

Thanks. Got it working now but only with the Wiiflow.
How do i configure GX and CNF loaders to recognize my HDD?

    Please use the Edit function.
