Melee to my sd card which is why it just started to play no questions asked and asked to copy to sd for other games. A quick removal of my sd card made me realize that. So after that large write up I still have not set up playability from my hd.... ugh.... one of those EUREKA moments shot down haha. so im back to square one i guess.

    i have
    32kb cluster FAT 32
    all new iOS
    d2x v8-final wads
    DIOS_MIOS update 5
    usb loader gx r1193 mod02
everything is set up primary/active/path wise

I am really thinking my hd just doesn't have compatibility. I hope someone knows what's up but for now i am just going to have to play the games off my sd (1 game on at a time), which is a inconvenience but it at least works for now. any other tips are welcome

    play from SD works
just still dont have the play from USB working. (I thought you could only play from sd with dios lite? and i know i downloaded dios_mios update 5)

edit: here is a syscheck i did on my wii if anyone wants to take a look at it in case something i have it bad or out of date. thanks

    Spoiler

also my homebrew is the newest 1.1.0
If you're playing games from the sd then you don't have dios mios 2.0 installed...2.0 only boots from hdd.

Awesome! Glad to hear it. So then your forwarder channel must have been out of date

I thought that was weird too but it was just that my forwarder was out of date and everything works as intended now.

Glad to see everyone is enjoying this wonderful program and I can't wait for the next update

Unfortunately I may have to limit my use of this till I fix my Wii as I have only been able to rip 2 games before my laser started failing out worse than it was
So my next project is to get my Wii a new disc drive (hopefully that solves my problem, found one for $40 on Amazon). If not I guess I'll have to buy a new (used lol) Wii and use one of them for experimenting with Homebrew :P

When you get a new wii, what System Menu Version do you plan to update it to?
(Also make sure it's backwards compatible, and has those gamecube port slots)

But wait! I hear that Wii's sold after 2008 won't work with it! Or maybe it's just the black and red wiis. I'm not sure.

No your right, I'll be picking up a used one at GameStop and I'll of course make sure it has GC support. I may update it to 4.3 seeing as its hackable now and I already have my 4.2 for any Homebrew stuff...the main purpose of the 2nd wii would be to rip Wii and GC games and for playing the retail discs should I feel like it lol. But as I said, I'm gonna try and salvage this one first.

Edit: Just as I was thinking maybe I messed up some software in it (BC, MIOS etc etc) I begin getting more frequent errors with Wii games now....it has got to be something in the drive cause I haven't done anything else to it in months aside from using a few different MIOS and BCs (always taken from ModMii, NUS Downloader or this site). Other than that all I've done is add and remove various clutter from my SD card and keep my apps update but that shouldn't matter....right? Oh, I also updated my cIOS from d2x v7 Final to v8 Final a few weeks ago.

Hey, I have a problem. Before recently, I was able to play Gamecube games by plugging my hard drive into Port 1, with them refusing to boot if I put them in port 0. Sometimes they wouldn't boot, but eventually they would. That is no longer the case now. Now it seems no matter what I try, I don't even get the splash screen on Port 1. I've tried USB Loader GX 1193mod3, and Dios Mios Booter, both of which have worked in the past, and still see the games themselves. I have a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1TB External Hard Drive, with a partition formatted to FAT32 with a cluster size of 32k, and is primary and active. The hard drive is an MBR type drive. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You've tried changing to port settings in USB Loader?

And Yay! I got DM to load my GC games from my HDD this time instead of my flashstick
I think I accidentally had my format settings at 64kb on the HDD but we shall see, gonna try a couple other things just to be sure.
