Shoot. Still having issues. Here is my syscheck:

    Spoiler

Behaviour: DIOS MIOS will either black screen or will turn the console into standby mode when I attempt to play games (IIRC WiiFlow black screened and USB Loader GX just hung). This is even after performing a direct rip from a GC disc in USB Loader GX (Super Smash Brothers Melee).

    What I did:

First, followed a couple of different soft-mod guides because I was a dumbass and didn't find this site fast enough.

Then, followed the soft mod guide slowly and carefully from this site.

Then, followed this guide, installing DIOS MIOS into IOS236.

I am using a Kingston Data Traveller 4GB stick, which is marked as "Working, for some" in the compatibility guide. The 1GB, 2GB, and 8GB models are all marked as completely working. It's formatted FAT-32 and has 32kb chunks.

If I were to troubleshoot this myself, the first thing I would do is do a WAD install of DIOS MIOS Lite and try to SD load, to eliminate the USB as the issue. But I figured I'd reply here first. What do you guys recommend?

NOTE: Attempted to use both WiiFlow and USB Loader GX, both of which are the versions included in the Softmod Any Wii guide.

EDIT: UPDATE: Tested a USB that has confirmation to be working on a different compatibility list, same result, black screen.

Is your 32k FAT32 partition the first active primary partition? (not logical, not second, etc)?

There's only one partition, so yeah it's the first one. It's also primary and active.

I wish that NMM would work with Melee. Unfortunately I don't have a memory card so that sucks . Is there any workaround for this? I want to be able to save in Melee

Try Devolution, it's emulated memory works with Melee.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

I can't use Devolution because my I gave my Melee disc to one of my friends right after I backed it up/ripped it to my USB drive. Right now I'm using Nintendont but the memory card emulation feature doesn't work very well. I get the "The memory card in Slot A is corrupted so it must be formatted. OK?" error.

    What if you format it?

    Having probems with dios mios.
I get a black screen when i boot a game up, might be because my HDD is unsupported? but then why would it load my wii games if it was unsupported?
I also installed the latest Dios Mios But cfg loader says its DM 2.2+ how do i get cfg to update? Any solutions????

It isn't unheard of that a hard drive that works on Wii games won't work on GameCube games, though this is pretty rare.
