I'm just going to buy from the list then, thanks for the help.

This site is extremely helpful, thanks all for the work you put in to make this info available. I recently installed HBC using mauifrog's softmod any wii guide and have my wii back ups save on an NTFS formatted hdd, but I was wondering if it would be possible to leave that alone (since I also use it for media) and just use a flash drive for gamecube back ups. I only kept like 7 or 8 games for gc, so i figured a 32gb flash drive would be more than enough. Is this set up possible with DM?

You'll have to swap the drive out, but sure. As long as it's formatted properly (FAT32 with 32k clusters) and you want to go through the hassle of swapping devices, it should work.

    hey

ive recently tried to get a gc version of pso 1 and 2 working but with no success. after spending days searching for solutions my only options left are to try dios mios with usb.

now when i install dios mios and go to run a game i DONT get the dios mios loader screen, it just goes black and i have tried several different versions of dios mios and game loaders, including the dios mios booter. for some reasong my wii is just not reading its installed but when i install dios mios lite running gc backups works pretty much flawlessly

my question is does anyone know whats wrong or what im doing wrong with dios mios? any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated because im actually pretty stumped. also, could my problem be that im using wad manager 1.7 and installing as cios 249 and i shouldnt be?

also, since it seems to be a never ending battle for many people, anything on phantasy star would be awesome but my main concern is dios mios.
(4.2u cios 222- 250 avail, hermes rev unknown inst as 38 and 36, (monster hunter) letterbombed 4.3, downgraded)
PLZ AND THANKS TO ALL XD

What version of Dios Mios are you trying? What version of what USB loaders are you trying?

Can you post a syscheck? (directions on how to do so are in my signature).

well, so far ive tried (what the internet tells me is) dios mios 2.1 2.2 2.6 2.7 2.8 2.9 with usb loader gx r3.0 r1180, wiiflow 4.1 a few dios mios booters, current r29, and cfg loaders 49, 70 r15, 70r51. wiiflow and dios mios booter work perfectly fine for the most part with dios mios lite 2.2 but i need to work with another mios loader because ive tried everything i can on this one. i just feel like my wii is overwriting the old dios mios but its installing nothing.

    Spoiler

    also, TY FOR FAST RESPONSE!!!

Your cIOS's are old. You should update them to current. Go through Chapter 2 of the Softmod Any Wii guide (link in my signature) to update that, then use the latest version of Dios Mios and the loaders. I have links to all of that in my signature as well.

    Latest versions:

    DM 2.9
    WiiFlow 4.1.1
    GX r1211
    CFG v70r51

I use DM with CFG, myself. Other people will use other loaders. But once DM works once, it should work for everyone.

If you've used previous versions of GX, you might want to delete any config files you find so it creates a new set.

Try all that and let us know how it all works out.
