    Ok.

I just put a retail disc in and loaded it from the disc channel and dios mios popped and the game works fine, so I'm thinking its not a software problem with my wii just like you said a bad rip or my HDD isn't compatible.

EDIT: And if I try to use CleanRip I get an error and with usb loader gx when ripping a game its freezes at 2.2%?

Can someone please check if I can run usb loaders.

    Spoiler

After the Dios Mios screen it freezes on a black screen OR it will shut the wii down of seeing the nintendo screen.

I have physically moved your latest post into this thread. While I realize you're trying to troubleshoot issues, best to confine it to a single thread (and since it's DM-centric, that makes it THIS thread). cIOS look in order.

    Thanks for moving my post.

The problem is not softmod-related. From the Wii standpoint, everything is in order (I have no ideas on mIOS and Game Cube stuff, but this certainly is the thread for that where someone else would better be able to serve you).

For GX delete the old CFG files in the GX app and the config folder also and not all out of region GameCube games works with GX I will recommend WiiFlow: v4.1 and CFGLoader: cfg70MODr51 for out of region GameCube games and force video to PAL for those games.
Also try same region GameCube games.
Do you get errors and freezes ripping the games because it is scratched or do you have disc drive issues?
Only if you have disc drive issues try DM 2.2 and put NODISC to on in the usb loader settings
Also try GX r1198, Added DML 2.2+ new NoDisc support. r1198:R1198_IOS222-249-250.7z if the latest usb loaders does not work with DM 2.2
Only MBR works with DIOS MIOS

Ok I deleted the cfg files in the usbloader_gx folder and im not suer how to delete them from the app using the wii (if I need too)

I tried a same region game (PAL) and got a black screen again.

My discs look fine and I dont think I have drive issues.

If I have DM 2.8 should I still try GX r1198?

    Ok

WiiFlow 4.1 with the correct region game - I go to settings and set game partition to USB1 and then press the gamecube icon and hit play and get a weird error

ERROR: module 'shared/mgso_pal.rel' is too big
    limit is 4874240
    size is 1896400941
    over by 1891526701

How can it be too big? maybe because its a too disc game and I have not set the folders up correctly?

    This is from the guide:
    If your game has
two disks like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, you will need to install the other disc the same way you did the first. Except rename the second disc from "game.iso" to "disc2.iso", then cut and paste it into the original folder with the first "game.iso".
